Workshop similar to FFXV? for DOA6 really?

If this is true, has TN actually stepped into the modding community? I have to say that i'm incredibly surprised.

I tweeted TN after seeing the tab was up, but haven't had a response yet. I'd imagine it's a mistake, but it'd be immensely cool if it wasn't.

Perhaps they just want to avoid having the same situation as 5, where people use an injector, that might allow cheating as well as modification.

Implementing something like Easy Anti-Cheat afterward, would be much easier.
Anyone seeing a tangible difference between graphics mode and performance mode on PS4pro, now? Patchnotes mention a change to graphics mode.

Hop over to the DOA6 Graphics Thread, I took a look at it there.

    Thx.
Despite the persistent matchmaking/netcode issues, Dissida NT looks and runs great on PC.

When are TN gonna stick the network landing? Cos it's literally their only stumbling block, from where I'm standing.

I think they're also fixing it up since the lobbies on PC which could be used via glitch weren't too stable, the more people that joined the laggier it got and the game would crash too sometimes so maybe they're just trying to figure out how to prevent that as well?

Can't see that it would take them a month+ (remembering that they've been working on this a while, before launch.) TN aren't Bioware or Bungie, sure - they're not massive. But they're not shit tiny, either. There's enough manpower there to contract out to someone like Square. There should be enough manpower to deal with lobbies. Especially given they already have a working model for them, from the previous title.

I could be barking up the wrong tree, totally, tho. Be nice to hear from Master on this. Maybe they're holding back on all platforms until they're ready to launch together, and one platform is being a particular pain? Or cert turn around, or something?
Hitomi AI on Legend seems stuck spamming what looks like her high-hold repeatedly between moves. Can anyone else replicate?
Worried this push for cloud gaming solutions will drive the fighting game genre even lower down in most publisher's estimations...

If Stadia and xCloud are cash cows, who'll want to deal with frame-perfect optimization and content creation, anymore?

The average gamer will be tolerating 100ms+, even in single player content o_0
I know it's technically a dumber, more linear DoA, but... I dunno, I'm having a great time with 6 so far.

Maybe it's finally switching to a stick? Maybe it's the little stuff like Quest, adding to the presentation?

But in the absence of lobbies and tag, I really expected to be playing much less, and barely enjoying what I did play.

Here's hoping it's another good five odd years for 6, too.

Despite it's short comings (No one has blinders on dense enough to not admit them) it's a good game. Given time I have full faith it will be one of the best DOAs in the series.

how is it dumber more linear?they reduced the stun game and forced you to poke more intelligently.

DOA6 is honestly much better now than it was during the DOA5 era because the game is now easier to get into, looks utterly fantastic compared to DOA5 with much better visual direction, has a sidestep system that keeps abusive "string-heavy" pressure characters in check, and has a stun system that is less obnoxious than DOA5's. In a year or 2, DOA6 could easily turn out to be possibly the best DOA game.
Force negative resolution scaling in ranked, if a PC client sits under 60fps? Getting a lot of 5 bar, wired potato PC opponents.

    Slide. Show.
Not sure who it was who suggested angling Leifang's final combo challenge into a different set of barrels to ensure the close hit at the end, but - ty!

    Worked perfectly.
If they'd have introduced Honkers and Marie in 5, with the same story content that they were given in 6, I wouldn't have any issue with their designs to anything like the same degree.

Going forward, TN really need to give other non-guest DLC characters a story path, the way they have with Nyotengu.

they more or less look and act the same in both games and the story content didn't change anything. especially honkers, still a blob with her head in the air despite being the story's focus. i think people are having MORE issues with her thanks to that.
Is there a trick to baiting Fatal Stun in Quest #53? Neither Ayane nor Hayate seem interested in triggering it.

I'm not sure, but try sidestepping a lot. Fatal Rushes are designed to thwart sidesteps.
Points excess to the amount needed for a costume to unlock overflow onto another random costume for that character.

I had some Diego overflow go into Honoka since I have all his other outfits which is nice

Ah, nice. Was wondering how it would work when we max out. Great stuff.

Now, about tag and those lobbies... ;) Almost there.

Should've been like this from the start. Don't know what the hell they were thinking with the original system.
Japanese RAP.V's everywhere - not a single 4 Kai to be found. HK, why you fail me? :(

Settled for a SC VI, although having gotten it home, I've got zero regrets. Hori <3
Dissidia NT's PC launch has been a total disaster.

Client is a total mess, and it launched with the recently discovered matchmaking bug that can softlock the game. Matches just aren't happening, and when they are, the potato PC crowd drawn to FTP titles are destroying overall connection quality.

    Total mess, sadly.

Worse still - it appears, overnight, players of lesser competitive talent have realised that the game has a total lack of anti-cheat - cheatengine works in multiplayer, and your ranked progress file is stored on the local HDD and is editable. OHK exploits are popping up everywhere.

Browsing the forum, it's probably worth pointing out for those who haven't worked through the tutorial: 6S.H (Break Blow cancel) is a thing, and there's absolutely no reason to miss Critical Bursts and Power Blows/Launchers.

They're essentially still in the game, only with a different name and standardized access/input.
Re: Leifang's final combo challenge. Can't land the black 3, following the cancelled Break Blow.

If I do it too soon, Lei ignores the command. If I wait too long, Kasumi drops.

    Any tips?

i dont know what they were thinking with some of these combos but the moment leifang crouches hit P... you just gotta get it out. Already be holding 3 while you're cancelling the Break Blow.

    ninemil
I'll try that, (holding the 3 early) - thank you.
DoA Quest is, indeed, exactly what the offline game needed - Kotaku was right.

Same. It has an educational aspect to it, as well - the challenges often seem to be highlighting useful moves/features, which can only be good for the quality of opposition online in the long run.

Not feeling the angst I'm seeing elsewhere about the custom unlocks, with Quest in the game, either. Seems to work out well.
