    Surprises? It's DoA6, man. Once you understand the game it's kinda just reads I see that are good. In VF and Tekken, you tend to see people play characters so different and you learn something and stay fresh on match ups. DOA5 was a better spectate.

    DOA6 might be off to a slow start, but I know in my heart that this game is going to bad ass to come back to a year from now if they release content as steady as DOA5.

    I think that NLBC has been quite awesome. Lots of hype matches and positive players in chat. Rabies and Jager had a great match on Forbidden Fortune.

    Her throw damage is fine. She's a grappler. She's supposed to do that kind of damage. It's just how the game is now. The thing that I think it's too much are how she chains together combos with her DDT air grab then into the ground grab. I really don't have issues with her. I just think people have to spend more time fighting her, which right now is kind of a double edge sword right now, because we're missing lobbies

    There would be no point in playing her if she didn't do grappler damage. The other combos are what folks need to look into. Her neutral is another thing you have to take into account. She's fine besides that 1 aspect.

    But she could! Unfortunately she doesn't need to do much to get Raidou caibur damage. She crushes everything, her throws are out of control with grappler damage on high counter, she has evasiveness that encourages people to zone to the end of level. I love this character and hate her fucking guts major at the same time.

    Memes aside, I think Ayane takes skill to master at high levels, but I do also think she's a contender for top 3 in this game. Not to beat a dead horse, but seriously, examine the Marie vs Ayane MU and tell me what Marie is supposed to do aside from "make perfect reads from match start till match end." It's hilariously lopsided and I have no idea how TN looked at it and went "Yup, that seems right."

    Well I read all of the Trivia and most of the Encyclopedia and I changed my custom slot for each character. I also got lots trying to pick titles for a few characters.

    I can see reading all stuff could lead to hours of reading, and customs seem like something you could pick with few minutes (unless you think hard along with trying to apply it to every character).

    No it has nothing to do with people complaining about the mechanics, I just know what's coming because this isn't my first pre-release with a DOA game. "SJWs" are going to attack Shimbori's "promises" to make the game less sexualized, people from different fighting games will come to destroy the game. I'm just not in the mood for it.

    And even if FSD isn't invaded by those sorts, it will be drawn here in some fashion by people that see it in other places. I think active players have the right to say whatever about the game.
