    Personally, with the game having 25-26 characters out of which only 4 are unlocked for use in every game mode (plus 2 maybe, does it work like DOA5, 4 characters+2 changing weekly?) plus there are more coming, I'd say that they should be playable in every mode. Adopt the League of Legends formula, have new characters cost a lot while older, less fan-favourite characters should be getting cheaper with time.

    Nah, there's no character rotation on DOA6 Core Fighters. Just 4 unlocked out of the base 24 characters (NyoTengu & Phase-4 are still DLC). Oh, I meant that majority of the currency to unlock the characters should be related to online play as an incentive to play DOA6 online, to thus keep lobbies & ranked populated. The challenge though is how to go about it. Playing ranked I think is still fastest to gain currency.

    Ohhh, now I see what you mean. Yeah, that'd be a pretty good way to make players play online. There would be plenty in ranked and in lobbies too in that case. It'd be hard to manage it all in a way that people would get interested in it to the point where they'd play the game for a good couple of months though. We can only imagine how it could work out, or how it could be screwed up completely.

    yall are lucky then, seems like the only types of ppl i fight are ppl who use meter as soon as they get it or ppl who forget that meter is even a thing. i fall into the later, the only times i find myself using meter is when im in FS or just using it for a swaggy BB finish

    Big roster for the low tier picks. Look at Infiltration vs PR Rog in sf4, dude picked Hakan and won. Some say it was lack of match up knowledge involved.

    I like when a lower is picked in high level games. The more the merrier.

    You'll get people who champion what people say are the worst characters in a fighting game. Some would call these people Low Tier Gods. But that name is sullied.

    if you like low tier heroes you should try smash ultimate, i swear over half the ppl who play that game are players on a mission to prove that their favorite low tier character is actually good and viable. and don't ever let these type of players get a win on you when you're using a high tier, they'll post that shit all over twitter and youtube

    Lately the smash community has not portrayed themselves in a positive light since the whole smash not at EVO thing. Alot of them came off as egotistical. Mind you not all of them but alotta the big names were hot boxing themselves.
    In MK11 Scorpian is the one who is great at controlling space with strong normals and specials while Subzero is an offensive powerhouse with strong mix ups. think these lads got their scripts swapped :/

    The way they've pursued this "mix-and-match" avenue with tools and movesets makes all NRS characters an absolute clusterfuck from a design perspective.
    this might sound a bit crazy, but i don't think DOA6 has alot of solid characters

    I think it depends on how you perceive it. DoA5 was very guess heavy and rewarded critical burst. Some you could react to, sometimes you couldn't get the hold even if you saw it coming. Then you had guarantees. That's the only good thing about BHs, it take the worry out. I'd prefer if it kept guaranteed sitdowns and you can Stagger escape out or if you couldn't, use your meter. Meter in DoA5's world would work better

    Cause at that point, there's a better measure of skill and uniqueness. That's what 6 is missing to me.

    There's "skill and uniqueness" in both games. The better player still wins more often on average. But, yeah there were some things I preferred in DOA5's system, though critical bursts wasn't one of them, along with the stun & sidestep systems.
    i think it's funny how in MK11 you ukemi by pressing no buttons but you delay getup by holding a button lol

    Solves unintentionally getting up due to lag. This happens to me in doa sometimes I'll press kick to wake up kick before hitting the floor change my mind press H and still do a wake up kick. I've even waited a little sometimes and the same will happen.

    It sounds like a Jimmy move on their part since MK attracts a lot of casuals. However, I can see the intent being for lag but you and I know that's bullshit.

    Kinda doing that with MKX for MK11 eventhough it's pointless. Kinda wish more friends of showed more interest when X dropped. I didn't like X all too much but it's grown on me. Apparently I have a Kitana I didn't know I had.

    Kitana kinda blows in mk11, she was alright in mkx but pyro Tanya existed and she was just better kitana, better off playing jade in mk11 if you want something similar but better
    PSA for free Krypt unlocks, Select the krypt from the main menu and hold down the X button, while still holding the button, walk up to chests with heads above them opposite the klassic statues, walk up to anyone of these chests with X held and you can unlock them for free

    not sure how long it'll be b4 NRS patches this out but use this to open these specific chests, otherwise you'll have to do 50 fatalities on each corresponding character b4 you can access these chests, and who has time for that, also not sure if this works on Xbox but if it does i assume you can do it by holding down the A button

    This is quite the time saver. Everyone would probably want this glitch to stay for eternity but we know that it'll get patched very quickly, still, good find.
    Cetrion has some dope colors and some sick cosmetic gear, too bad my chances of unlocking them are 100% random :/

    One of the main nuisances of modern fighing games. Hundreds of ugly, random color variations to unlock. You'll hardly ever get the original one or the one you like.
    so for some reason the default variations in MK11 are not the tournament variations, you have to select them from the abilities menu by pressing square/X, just a heads up

    and you can tell if a variation is tourney legal if it has a trophy icon next to it, can't tell if this was an oversight that'll be corrected in a future patch or if they really wanted competitive players to jump through all those hoops, then again 99.9% of ppl who play this game aren't competitive so no skin off their noses

    That's how it used to be. Followup was unblockable, but holdable. It gave a reward for catching you holding. If I was on the dev team this game would actually be good.
    I need to remind myself that tengu offline and tengu online are two completely different characters, and i shouldn't let one dictate my thoughts on the other

    @Coolcatn1kk1 naw, i think shes terrible online. cause with tengu you wanna react, you wanna play defensive, you wanna play safe, she's great at doing all that, but all those strengths are super nerfed in an online environment, which forces her to play very counter intuitively to survive in these online skreets

    And if your gonna play in a more Yolo nike just do it playstyle, then there's no reason to pick tengu cause so many characters can do the same thing but way better,so yeah, online,there s no ponit picking her, but offline, girl can do some damage

    MK11's gameplay is throwback to klassic mk gameplay(mainly umk3) with more modern sensibilities, which is fine if you prefer the klassics...

    I prefer the 2D style, combo/juggle heavy mechanics into oki so this is a bit different for me, I do like the focus on neutral, I just wish there were more options for viable combos.

    neutral is all good but when I land a hit at least let me do more than 15% :/ i get they don't want you doing 43% damage combos off meterless launchers like mkx cassie or mk9 kitana, but these low damage interactions feel super underwhelming

    Yeah, it seems they want a good balance from the damage of the combos/oki setplay.
    So, MK11 has wave dashing huh (they're calling it a wave dash but honestly it's more of an advanced dash block), can't wait to get home and see if it's viable for my characters

    Playing Shao Khan and his wavedash is pretty good, but its not optimal similar to the dash block cancel in MK9

    yeah, it doens't seem optimal, but it does looks hilarious, Cetrion just looks like she's falling forward lol
    I know I complained about costume acquisition for my mains, but default costume 2 with the bun hairstyle is probably still my favorite look for Nyo lol

    Yo yo but that new costume with the bomber jacket is a nice look. I go long no ornaments or no ornaments. I don't play Miss Tengu but I like her style.

    Black and gold bomber jacket is on point, although ruined by the wing color, the white wings clash so hard with the outfit, they should of been black just for the sake of consistency
