  • Finally got around to watching Boruto, and yeah, i get the hate now, continuing Naruto after Shippuden was bad move from a storytelling standpoint, at least the way they're handling it

    The emotional parts are good though, seeing how the original characters and their kids interact is easily the most interesting part of the show, if they could just focus on that make Boruto a of slice of life ninja show it'd be dope, cause there is no action in it that will match the magnitude of the original, especially when you have peace between all the nations and Naruto and Sasuke being op af

    Are you still in the first arc? They introduce characters that pose a threat to Naruto and Sasuke. It just takes a bit to get through the filler crap and get to the actual manga/movie bits.

    Luckily DBZ is the greatest thing on the planet including One Piece currently.

    3 of 4 dlc characters released were i9/i11 characters, hope TN will diversify with the next DLC character, but would ppl even be interested in playing a deliberately slow character in this game?

    Nah, slow characters are only torture online, offline it's nowhere near as terrible, and besides, DOA6 has good slow characters (Nyo, Tina, Lisa) and i'd like to see another one

    of course if they do make a slow character with no outstanding qualities to make up for it I could completely understand why ppl wouldn't play 'em

    Judging by all the Nyotengu players I've seen, I don't think people will mind. But if its the struggle that the Heavyweights have to go through, than no.
    Been playing Tina for a couple weeks now and this is what i have to say about the character, strong but way overrated, kinda like doa5 Helena
    Having trouble versus Tina? pick a character with an i11 6p and voila, you have access to a button Tina has no answer for and the MU becomes much simpler
    I love how out of all the characters SNK chose to nerf in their latest patch, they chose Kyoshiro XD

    Genjuro who's made it into every top 8 since the game was released? he's fine. Earthquake who can safely mix you from 3/4 screen? balanced. Jubei with his broken ass jumping medium. that's fair, but Kyoshiro? bottom tier character with the strongest backdash? That shit needs to be fixed immediately!

    Dawg, I could write a college thesis on why Im not playing mk11, but the short version is I'm having a real hard time having fun with the game, and why play a fighting game im not enjoying? Plus there are 3 other fighting games I am having fun with so letting mk11 go is an acceptable loss in my eyes. I could come back though, MK games usually take time to hit their stride, but until then, I'm out
    Kill la Kill - IF demo is out, give it a look if you like 3D arena fighters (Naruto ninja storm and stuff like that)

    Every1 can play it....as long as you're not in the U.S. for some reason the demo is only available to U.S. players as a digital pre oder bonus, but the rest of the world can just dl it and play for free

    That's...interesting...well, that'll be neat, unfortunately i won't be near my ps4 for like 2 weeks but I'll be checking it out after. Started watching the anime not too long ago and I gotta say that a KLK game made by ArcSys is one of those "dreams come true" scenarios.

    okay so check it, it is available to US users free of charge now, but apparently it wasn't for a short while? i dunno, but now everyone everywhere can play it,
    sometimes you have to sacrifice a round making your opponent think you play one way, only to switch it up in the round and betray their expectations ;}
    Omni's video got me thinking, if there's another smash game in the future and it doesn't feature every character that's ever been in a smash game ever, will ppl throw hissy fits like they're doing now for Pokemon S&S?
    If a high and a mid clash on the same frame and they do the same dmg, which one will win the trade?

    and dmg only matters when both strikes are the same level?

    Test two Diego. Have the recording Diego do 6P+K (which is +2 on block). Have the other Diego do a jab (10F) and have the Diego who did 6P+K do 6P (i12 becomes i10). The mid wins every time. Where did FoN get the info of high beating a mid regardless of damage if both traded at the same speed?

    If the high and mid were the same damage, the high would win. If the high was weaker while same speed as mid, the mid wins.

    Ah, my bad. I could swear that highs always beat out mids if they connect on the same frame back in DOA5 (along with Mids beat Lows and Lows beat Highs, etc.). Have had a lot of instances in past gameplay too where jabs or high kicks would blow up mids pretty easily, so I tend to play based on Highs > Mids > Lows > Highs.
    if a character is i9/i11 with hella strings and options, their throw game should be whack

    Speed is not a major issue in DOA per say, but it also eliminates certain definition in regards to "neutral" in CQC and opening people up realistically.

    And Rikuto also mentioned that TN's stubbornness with regards to tweaking certain things such as "throw breaks" (or tweaking the aforementioned R1F movement) is likely part of the reason why DOA games will never move forward enough as "competitive fighting games" and thus will sell less than its competitors. IMHO, the more that DOA tries to differentiate itself from other FG's, the worse it is for itself.
