  • can anyone explain to me the point of certain attacks having two hit levels? for instance, eliot's 33p being both a mid kick and high punch hold.

To ensure consistency and that the hit levels align with the animation (ex: Kokoro's 6P+K). It can also help against moves that crush one of the the hit levels.

    ^pretty much this

i don't there's any point to it, it's just done to make sure the hit levels and the animations make sense, honoka/gen fu 2P+k also does this, since the attack is both a knee and a punch

thanks for the input, guys. i was really under the impression that either tn was like "yea just don't use this move" or, similar to what @KasumiLover said, they just "cursed" some moves. but this explanation makes more sense.
eliot players of ps4 of freestepdodge, does anyone else find executing 66P+K unreliable? i want to know as i don't think it's a controller issue. (i use 66P and 66K every game) it's a really good move in his kit and it feels like i can maybe get it out 1/10 times.

@U_C_A_F oh cool thanks dude! always found myself spacing with the rewarding on hit, but unsafe 6P+K instead of getting the +4 (+5 max range) from 66P+K.
@Legendary Goken i hear that. i actually prefer old eliot. but his high reward comes at a cost because not everyone can can do i3P, let alone max damage or even close to max damage.

Yeah, that's what irks me about Eliot, his high execution unorthodox style.
I prefer the old Eliot as well.

I feel the system buffer makes it harder than it actually is, like saving your down input for over a second or so, i get 3p instead of (3)p so often while never knowing why or knowing that it will come out in a match. I want Gen back

The western Sony office stopped them from putting multiple items on the marketplace. The JP office didn't care, and Steam had to be negotiated with. That's why it couldn't be done the same way as 5LR, but only for western regions.

I see... well, Sony sucks for doing that. Unfair for the company but also unfair for the players.

Agreed. We can only speculate as to why they felt bias against them. But also remember the "Dead on Arrival 6" insult in the official Playstation Blog. I imagine they have people in the office that simply do not like the IP.
how about... stay with me now... the ability to filter from wireless players and wired players when you queue for ranked? (inb4 rank doesn't matter hurr durr scrub)

So you want the game to filter out 90% of the console players? Keep waiting.

It wouldn't be hard for them to put in a filter Wired or Any. At least this game tells you their connection type.

i do agree with most everything i see here, although i wouldn't mind waiting 5-8 minutes searching as opposed to instantly getting a game where performing eliot combos is literally impossible. maybe that's just me, though.
TN: and for my next dlc pack... SWIMSUITS.
Me: but the last two packs were swimsuits...
TN: buy it or we'll delay DoA7 until 2031.

i'll bite. i'm sure this is already the consensus but this game seems rather... unfinished.
