  • lol Tek players realizing how trash 7 is. Dieminion opening up bout SFV.MMSWE said when his HP got low,"Where's my rage? I want to rage art." People pointing out that Tekken characters look human here and stages appear realistic. We're in the last days of FGs or we're 'bout to disrupt the simulation.

It's got Geese though. That automatically makes it the best Tekken game in the series.

If it didn't have Geese, well...not sure.
If Lars was in Virtua Fighter, he'd either be useful or worse, since you can't cancel stance moves on block, you get launched EVERY time. El Blaze gets SOME leeway to Rocket Discharge but that's specific and more of a respect thing.

Lars could not be in VF because he's very unrealistic from the point of his fighting style to his design.

Yeah, but I'm not saying that for this case. However, it does point to all the ridiculousness that doesn't pay off and how Namco doesn't really care about balancing or making intriguing fighters. *Cough* Faukumram *Cough* My bad, have a head cold. He just has shoulder and Jacky's 1PK, so, I thought of him in VF lol
I chuckled at an article saying that drinking the broth directly from your soup bowl isn't proper etiquette. Bet asians are like, "Do not cite the deep magic to me witch. I was there when it was written." Perhaps the slurping but that can be heavily mitigated.
What's up with Bamco games and linear moves hitting off axis? Like in VF, if evade and don't hit the button, it doesn't retrack. It also physically turn to you instead of whiffing on the side. That's not 3D to me, especially that movement wants to be limited. Don't get me wrong, I respect TK, just wish this wouldn't happen to our representatives.
Anime is cool 'cause we have cowboys in space, cops that can arrest your brain, so, you can't literally think of doing crime again, pirates that are humble & don't pillage, Ninjas that don't need to assassinate to complete missions, wizards that don't use wands or staffs, and firemen with no water needed.
Ppl say VF is hard because you have to be clever to hit some1. You can't mash & get free wins. You need to sit there, engage w/ the ruleset. When ppl see that their true skill level is exposed, they cry n leave. If VF was in the mainstream, they'd cry 2. They don't have unseeable lows or 10 launchers to feel convinced they're doing shit. You progress at a much different pace but you can rely on triangle, learn MUs

I wish doa would of taken some of vfs good movement mechanics. I like vfs triangle system it makes sense.

VF n DoA's triangle system is same exact thing. No disputing it. I swear I've seen people get thrown outta whole strings in Tekken and crouch animations. The only thing is the ECD but the fuzzy guard kinda works the same to duck throws/guard mids at below -5 for DoA iirc and -4 to-6 for VF, iirc -6 regular fuzzy for Akira (-7 for Taka) so he can buffer double palm . Regular Fuzzy guard, no crouch dash, -1to-3

I like that you can jump in VF still
If this how people feel about FALL GUYS, what hope do FGs have?
You forget how important it is to VS someone your level or not too far off. You learn to play more solid when you're not forced to think outside the box because your opponent knows all the basic tricks/has execution down to capitalize on EVERYTHING (General topic)

This happened with my boy in KoF, he was the dominate one against me and my friend but at one point, it started off with beating people not even close to his skill and now I'm OCVing him with MuiMui and he goes, y'all just better than me now. I'm like, bruh, I just started playing the Mexicans.

Its so satisfying seeing improvements like these after a while, shows how far we came as players and the amount of time we put into the game. I remember playing DOA5U with a couple of friends online twice, barely won any games. Played the game more afterwards and when we played in a lobby again? I got a 10 game win streak, however, I wouldn't have guessed that I'd become much, much better after that.
Is there a site that charts games you like and your perceived skill level with each title like EHubs and then recommends a fighting game for you? Hard to pick a title in this climate where the identity that made said game interesting, is skewd. PS3 era was better.

Almost makes me think the casualization of GG is actually for people like me and not beginners entirely. Players that are actually decent a few FGs but can't really transition to something that doesn't feel traditional or other factors, like feeling like you're part of the meta game right away. Am I part of the problem?

Though it's weird because I'm okay with KoF at this point. I'm actually fairly intuned with what goes on. I have this mental checklist for things I believe should be consistent or make sense. If the game doesn't have it, I just tend to move on. Finding a char is part of that process too. Need a char that does what my mind is thinking

@XZero264 Yo, my bad, I didn't try to use you for a rant. I remember when we met at ECT7. Those were my infantile years. I was probably a little more quiet about this kinda shit since it was all new to me, getting a taste of that competitive nature. That Said, it's good to know you're still pumping.
Blazblue kept bugging me with all the different body types and adjusting combos on the fly is where I put my foot down. I accept it in 3D fighters because it's more based on reality. Why care about realistic hit interactions with a game so heavy on fantasy? There should only be 2, I hit you & I hit you extra.

Saw Obama's vid When he said, people say, GG is hard yet play Tekken 7 or UNIST need to look in the mirror. It says more about the perception of some games to FEEL competent in right away because you're hitting X mixup consistently or feel like you probably don't need to worry about living in the neutral so long.

I'd rather have a game blow me up and I'll figure out next game, then for it to take longer, forcing me to finesse a comeback/not get complacent. Of course this feeling happen BECAUSE there's more intricacies happening with the neutral.

It took me at least a year to get good at blazblue. Its a. Grind, but worth it
To me, talking shit, gettin' salty is all part of the culture. I'm used to it as a driver to spark conversation, to learn. It's like boxers getting heated at the weigh-ins, it builds character regardless of the outcome. Someone learns, or gets better. Genre is called, "Fighting", don't, not expect any.

I don't know... I always liked the way eastern martial arts were depicted as opponents having mutual respect for eachother as basic tenets. Let the fight do the talking.

I more agree with what Trick said. Though, I don't think arguments about gameplay (though discussions are better) can be considered the same as talking shit. I can enjoy some witty banter, though, if it's obviously jokey and not being serious.
SFV so weird to improve in because you'll watch pros dealing with the same shit as you. Sometimes they'll do/get hit with shit that I never would. Then proceed to realize that you just play the game. There's no real secret. It feels figured out already. Elchako admitted that pros shouldn't lose a round to a nobody
On December 7, Japan conducted a surprise attack, and that was Project Justice almost 20 Yrs. Ago. Shout outs to Akira Kazama mains here doing SPOD & EWGFs since it's in her name to pay homage to 2 legendary 3D franchises

They still have one more step left to make in order to become the Capcom of old times again, they still need to create a good fighting game that is actually fun to play and satisfies both the casual and competitive community day 1, SFV definitely wasn't it, neither was MvCI. This, however, is a pretty nice way to show that they do give a damn and that they are indeed listening.
Not that I don't appreciate Rollback but I kinda lol'd at Fantasy Strike. Yes, thank you for adding RB in a game w/ next to 0 execution. Can we get it for FGs that people give a fuck about? Honorable mentions to FEXL, Punch Planet and KI. 2 of those games have target combo/revolvers anyway. See my Area in FEXL btw ya'll.

I was actually wondering if anyone here had tried out Fantasy Strike and Punch Planet yet. I mean, they're new, that's probably why no one cares about them yet... but they seem pretty good, so maybe people should care? lol. I'll try them out when I can.
