  • SF player wins in GGST: SF players are just better at fundamentals and it shows when a game is less anime. SF players lose in GBVS: It's an anime game so of course anime players will win. lol
GBVS: 8.42 GB, UNIST: 8.70 GB, GGREV2: 10.73 GB, SC6: 18.84 GB, BBCF: 20.46 GB, SFVCE: 33.16 GB, T7: 53.65 GB. Imagine seeing these numbers and saying the smaller number means the game has less content and is easier to make.
Seeing the discussions for KOF and GG just makes me like the anime community more and more. They aren't afraid to point out the bad and shit on their own game for every little detail when GGST already looks amazing. Then you look at KOF discussions... This is why I'd take the words of an anime player over any other player any day.

And the spanish speaking kof community beats all.

KOF discussions as in on twitter? Because, Dream cancel, Orochinagi and KOF discords have more varying opinions, even with the better reception that XV is receiving in the last few trailers. Besides, if you want a GG clone so bad, just play a GG game. It's not like you've *really* been that supportive of KOF to begin with.
Games like SC are becoming more anime with meter, overdrives, supers, gauges, and fatal counters while anime games are becoming less anime... What a strange time we live in.

Since when is meter “anime”??? Mortal Kombat has meter and isn’t anime at all. So what do you mean?

To be fair, Zwei, Groh, and SC Kilik is about as anime as you can get. SC has gotten progressively more anime from around SCIV onwards.

In terms of artstyle and characters yeah. But I don’t see how meter is considered anime when it’s overall a 2D fighter mechanic.
Every time I watch Rikuto play Astaroth it makes me want to play him and pick up a grappler, but they just don't click. A good thing about DOA is that there are 2 grapplers. The bad thing is that Tina doesn't feel good to play as and while Bass' moveset feels a bit better, his appearance is just horrible. New grappler in DOA when?

Hey, bass is good looking guy when he's young

I don't think I've ever seen a grappler worse than Bass to be honest. His personality and looks just aren't good.
People are asking the developers of their fighting games to add rollback while I'm just here thinking about TN... Who struggled to make lobbies... Yeah, I don't think they can handle something like rollback.

yeah, some people thought programming is easy..TN can't even add tag match
The whole Uno/Anre situation still makes me laugh. The FGC goes on and on about diversity but when a developer actually picks a character based solely on diversity, diversity doesn't matter anymore lmao.
The next DOA game might not be bad. The biggest reason is that there is no more EVO so TN can stop trying to please them, and DOA6 should have taught them many valuable lessons pertaining to the west, the media, game mechanics, and the FGC.

Characters created for diversity points, less fanservice, censorship, catering to people who don't play, and trying to please western media doesn't help one bit.

I don't know what SNK is trying to convey with those trailers but they're too boring and they also make the characters look really boring.
The west says GBVS is dead but it is actually still alive and selling in its targeted region, which is all that matters. GBVS is also not even trying to cater to the west or the people who don't play judging by the character picks. So, that begs the question, where is DOA most popular and who actually supports it most? TN needs to do the same and hone in on the targeted audience.

Being niche just means the developers need to focus on what the actual fans want even more.

@HHH816 For the most part yes, though actually it should be more of a 50/50 in the sense that the players should support the developers the best they can for the game(s) they're repping, however the developers should support their playerbase equally as much if possible.

TN is and was already catering to where DOA is most popular, which is the DOAX fanbase. Even in the fighting franchise they were pushing an agenda and were focusing on the girls.
Apparently GBVS is popular in Japan? Hopefully that means there will be more season passes.

Not really surprising since Granblue Fantasy is pretty big in Japan compared to say, the West.

Imo, every fighting game outside of SF5, Tekken 7, KI, MK, Marvel and debatably DBZF is more popular and more played in Japan. Its likely that we'll be getting a SP3, given how there'll be new story mode stuff coming to the game with Anre (that'll set-up the story for a third SP most probably) where we'll have a complete character model for Seofon as well, so its also likely that SP3's first character will be him.

Yeah, I recently found out GBVS recently passed 450,000 copies sold and that looks pretty good for a brand new fighting game. They also recently had a tournament for the game so I'm really hoping they support the game for years.
