I feel the same tbh. I barely play FGs these days, including Smash Bros - something I used to play a lot for the past 3 years. Been mainly sticking to single player games nowadays.

Can feel you both on that. My focus rn is going to be gachas but I don't feel like leaving fighting games completely either. Did leave them couple of times for a longer duration (half a year once, like 2-3 years the second time) but now I feel like playing them, maybe not on a daily basis but at the very least on a weekly one. For short, you can be burnt out of fighting games for any duration.

Its ok to take a break and come back to it even years later, the same way its ok to not come back to them at all or just to enjoy them from a more casual perspective from for a while/from now on, a thing that I hope will see some resurgence with Street Fighter 6 if its casual content ends up being great, hopefully with many other companies following suit who make fighters.

Know when's the last time I played a FG? February. Haven't played once since.

FFXIV took me in and have no regrets. I'm sure i'll be back at FGs but I am thinking of considering to not make it a main series, but as a 2nd. I'll still make future DOA content though doubt for heavy offline compete.
