    The Hit Box is designed to filter out simultaneous opposing cardinal directions (or SOCDs). If I recall correctly, hitting 4 and 6 gives you 5 and 2 and 8 gives you 8 all the time.

    RSB is just as easy with a stick as it is with a Hit Box. In fact, one of the first vids of RSF was by me, doing it on a stick. Only reason the Hit Box guys picked up on it was because I asked them to.

    Actually, 3D games like DOA and Tekken also use hitboxes. In fact, I recall an article over at DOA World explaining how crushes are determined by hitboxes. And speaking of a character's design giving longer range in a 3D fighter, need I remind folks of Soul Calibur.
