    DOA5 Demo: Consolidated Feedback

The game does reward you for losing with meter gain. I'm sorry, it's not a difficult concept. "in SCV the 1 stock of meter you get is for you being 1 round away from losing....if your 1 round away from losing...your not in a good position, how is it advantageous to lose" You're not in a good...

GamesTM: Dead Or Alive 5 “the next step” for fighting games, says Team Ninja

Enviormental interactions play a huge role in how the game is viewed and watched. It evolved in DOA5. Some fighters are just getting with that program this gen. Adding meter management isn't going to offer anything new. Rewarding people for losing is not going to bring the hype. Staying true...

    DOA5 Demo: Consolidated Feedback

KOF13 does have one(it's just not brain dead), I see players using that DM mechanic which allows for 1 hit kills. Power blows are rarely going to happen at high level because of how much risk is involved. If you do land it it's because your opponent made a mistake, or you put them in a setup...

    DOA5 Demo: Consolidated Feedback

Yeah, but it's only a place holder for the next Tekken. Like the series has always been. Will it take a back seat to TTT2, most likely. That's not really the point i was trying to make. I'm just stating the difference between a comeback mechanic and a general one. Powerblow does not warrant...

    DOA5 Demo: Consolidated Feedback

Powerblows are not a comeback mechanic. It's not different than how SFIV uses a focus attack. SCV supers are more akin to how SFIV han dles the Ultra mechanic. Invincible, and can be mashed out. (although you shouldn't, but it can be rather effective in SCV) It's designed for tactical usage...

Dead or Alive 5 Alpha Demo System and Character Discussions

So are there any 2 or 3 in ones? Is there any priority on some moves? Really can't tell playing against the AI.

GamesTM: Dead Or Alive 5 “the next step” for fighting games, says Team Ninja

DOA has always been pushing the genre forward, looks like its still going to. They just need to put a little more thought into the base mechanics, which is what they're doing this time around.

    DOA5 Demo: Consolidated Feedback

No seriously, fuck meter, fuck lopsided comeback gimmicks, SC needs it because almost ever iteration is retardedly broken or unbalanced.

Just asking, why wouldn't it matter and what would need to change for it to matter?

Do you think Team Ninja Has the balls to bring this game to events for testing 'in the wild"?

They released the alpha build to the public, they've got bigger balls than any fighting game company ever. Which are too scared to even release demos. They should be sampling it to the FGC and the stream monsters.

    DOA5 Demo: Consolidated Feedback

More guard breaks and frame advantage. No holding out of GB and deep stuns. More evasive sidestep, more evasive quickstep. I'd like it if grappler characters(NOT HAYABUSA) had the option of a powerblow that turns into a throw, or a powerblow that cancels into an counter throw.

Street Fighter x Tekken = Ass?

I agree they way it's handled with rollback is superior, but SFxTK netcode is just not better for it as a whole in this current state.

Street Fighter x Tekken = Ass?

It really isn't, there's still lag, dropped frames, and all the other things mentioned. When rollback works, it works well, It's just not the best fit for SFxTk. It's poorly designed and unfinished. As a game I think it's great, which frutrates me to see it in such a poor condition. Could lose...

Street Fighter x Tekken = Ass?

I have and I could still hear sound effects and hit cues way more than I could any match in SFxTK. In fact for the main game my local arcade hooks the arcade cab to the surround speakers so everyone in the area could hear it. If you want the full authentic arcade experience just send Capcom a...

Dead or Alive 5 Alpha Demo System and Character Discussions

Demo is as smooth as butter. I am loving the quick step, power blow applications, and just the interaction with the BG. Feels like the true DOA that we never got.

Street Fighter x Tekken = Ass?

Those of us that have been raised to use sound cues to play have a very big issue. The netcode is solid, but the online experience is a total disaster. From load times to no replay option. It shouldn't have shipped in this condition.
