I imagine it was just a space issue. Honestly I'm surprised they put them in the game to begin with. I woulda paid $5 for a music pack per game. Tecmo's missing out on some monetization but whatever I'll keep my money then.
Well the only difference is that the character music was randomized between all the characters no matter who you were playing. Now, it randomizes between the two characters in the match.
What is the date and time (times for each day)? you entered the time for the event incorrectly. It appears this is going on at the same time as TFC? Sucks, would have looked into making it out there.
They did tweak some characters walk speeds, but they also tweaked the FSD system a bit. It's looser than DOA4.1 but still tighter than 3.1, close to 3.2.
Honestly, I don't want to even imagine Christie's Jakeiho in 5 with a 3.1 FSD system :-/.
Yes, it is possible to just never do free/H cancelling. However, you run the risk of being a frame or five late on the followup. That frame difference could mean a dropped juggle or combo.
I remember looking at the NPD numbers at my previous job.
Virtua Fighter 5 for the 360 only amounted to 25,000 sales. Super Street Fighter IV amounted to 300,000.
Fighters in general sold 125% more on the PS3 for the same game. Tekken 6 sold around 150% due to its established fan base...
DOA2 and DOA3 were launch units as well.
And some of the games like Tekken 5 and Virtua Fighter 4 had a longer shelf life due to being platinum hits (DOA3 included).
I wouldn't mind an SC5 style throw break (dis)advantage. The later you throw break the more disadvantage you're in. If you throw break early you can actually gain 1 or 2 frames of advantage.
I think the demand for it will be more determinable after the reaction from TFC in September to see how much hype the game has going into the new year.
