It all depends on what amount people are donating. If you have 300 people only donating $5 but another game has 10 donate $200 then the game with 10 people had a higher donation. For example, 3S, CVS2, and SC5 all have the same amount of "likes" as DOA5.

It's basically an admission fee but they don't have to pay for game entry to watch any game.
