Generally speaking you seem to like moderately fast characters that can zone well, typically with projectiles. An exception would seem to be MvC3 and Adon.

I personally have found success with airfarewatchdog.com giving me updates on deals. My last trip to Japan it alerted me that for one day I could save $500.

It hasn't even been 3 months yet, the game has had 2 patches so far, a third patch is on the way, and this thread has just started doing match up discussions. So expect it in another 3-6 months once the next patch comes, most likely closer to 6 months.
