I had purchased a Namco System 246 arcade system on ebay from a seller in Corpus Christi, Texas. The names from the Conquest Mode appear to be data from real players when the game was on location. I stumbled upon your question trying to find an old SC2 machine to buy for my home. My name is Ryan, I used to play back when this game was popping. I was from an East Texas group of players. We traveled to Dallas every Friday and practiced with some of the best 3D players at the time. One name stands out in that list. Noir, good guy. He was from San Antonio I believe. I played him in 2 different tournaments. Texas vs USA in dallas.

There is a video. Excuse the quality. Thus was literally filmed pre YouTube days. We used to have to upload out vids to a host site linked to soulcalibur.com back then.

Nori played Ivy/Nightmare/Cervantes back then. He continued to play even to soul calibur 5.

Great to hear that someone knew one of these people. Its just crazy to think this arcade game that was all the way in Texas found its way into my collection in Pennsylvania.
