Very interesting, top 4 most disliked characters are VF characters. They're too difficult to play with or let's say, they require too much time in order to be able to fight with them properly. Imo, if you're able to fight a character well, they'll be more fun to use. It's the same here with me using Akira, Sarah or Jacky. I'll give all of them 1 and 2s 'cause I nearly can't do anything good with them (Akira's moves look awesome, so I'll increase it to 3). It's just one aspect I'm mentioning here. How cool their moves look like n' stuff surely is another reason why a character could be more fun to use than others.
(I could be wrong though. Maybe the VF are just borin' 'cause their moves look too...linear...? Or is it even their voices...?)

People dislike playing the virtua fighters...understandable. However, Kokoro is number 5 on the list. That's unfortunate.

Anyway, I think you got my numbers logged already, but in case anyone wants a quick reference, these were mine.

PS: I think that my vote for Hayabusa should count as 10 points.

Changing subjects a little bit, but I was asked recently what characters I like to use and why, and I'm actually asked this question quite a bit. The fact is, there's no clear-and-cut "I like this" system to the characters I enjoy and choose to play.

There are trends, sure. Generally speaking I like heavy hitters. I prefer fewer hits that hit much harder than having to land a bunch of tiny "easy" hits. This can be summarized as: "High-risk, high reward." This is especially the case if the move feels iconic in some way, so that my opponent goes "Oh God, he got me."

Inevitably, this applies to throws and grapples. I love combo throws. So in general, I do like grapplers. But, I don't like all grapplers better than strikers (especially if you're one of those loons who only considers the i4 5T characters as grapplers).

So anyway, I thought I'd grade all the characters on a 1 to 5 scale of how much I enjoy playing them. This is not how much I enjoy fighting the character, nor how balanced I think they are or easy/difficult to use. This is just personally who I have fun using. So don't get offended if your character isn't scored very high. That doesn't mean I hate your character, it just means that (s)he is not a good fit for me, at least yet.

I didn't think this topic worthy of a brand new thread, so I figured I'd just post it here, as it is a more casual discussion given that I would only ever play half of these characters casually. Without further adieu, enjoy.

Would there be any way to get a more detailed "total" statistic? For example, add the total values of each number assigned for each character. So if one person gives Leon a 4, one gives him a 5, and one gives him a 1: he gets a total score of 10. If Jann Lee gets one 3 and two 4s: he gets a total score of 11.

We could obviously just get the mean by then dividing the total number by the amount of sampled data, but I don't think that amount of work is necessary when we can still gather the trends by just looking at the overall sums.

But this way we could get something closer to the mean of the most liked characters overall, rather than just the mode. I think that would be really interesting to look at, though I realize it would take a lot of time. Because then some characters that are rarely put as "5s" but are put by almost everyone as "3s" would still appear very liked, as they should.

I have to say I'm very biased on this list. For example, I have never really used Ein but the few times I have used him I had fun. I also don't know anything about him and I suck.

I think if I played each character for a week my opinion would change.

Some characters I may need some more time with but I generally like buttons and flashiness, and in the case of GenFu, trolling capability. Also how are people rating characters like Nyo-Tengu whom haven't even been released yet?
