Personally, I think it's a matter of organizing and who's sponsoring. As a casual person who doesn't dabble in a lot of esports-related ventures, I think it's better to A, have everyone agree on the game, platform, and energy drink of their choice (like Rockstar, for example), and B, make sure everyone's able to pitch in without nickle-and-diming them.
Otherwise, I don't really worry about traveling to this type of event.
