i still don't understand why people still thinks of hayabusa as a grappler . imo , he is a hybrid character with GRAPPLER CLASS throws and he's the only guy in the game that can actually be played as a rushdown or a striker while still having the ability to punish all punishable moves AND the speed to put some pressure . and mind you , he's by no means some bum anybody can sleep on . he's "technical guranteed follow up monster" when you look at him in depth .
christie and hayabusa are both momentum riders . that is to say , if either side catches offense , it's pretty much a matter of good read to get out of it . hayabusa won't be able to do anything if he doesn't gets that CH stun so therefore , ryu players are conditioned to hit buttons in between your strings so make effective use of the string manipulation . you don't give him room , you're all good .
the only thing the players should be worried about when facing busa players is that godly WR kick . the best move i think hayabusa has in his aresnal for abare and a momentum killer for you . just flops him on ground and puts you in the oki game . and that's all not all his oki game is also very strong when he's standing and you're on ground due to his ridiculously good unholdables and force techs .
so with hayabusa , no1. priority is to don't let him catch offense or try to kill it as soon as possible . he doesn't CH you , you're golden .
one thing you can try to tire busa players out XD . it's very exhausting to play him and im saying that from experience
