Goddamit! Does this mean that having TKD guys in a 3D fighter requires ho-yay and slash-fic material?

Well that's what chin said... LOL

I dunno.. but if Rig turns out to be, well, a man of "special" interests ... then that would be so hilarious... :p

You mean he's Quebecois? And therefore will complain about the cost of doing damage (despite having it better than other characters) and every now and then, holding a vote on whether he should be separated from the game?

Hwoarang is just for the ladies in my book.
Exactly. When it comes to Tekken yaoi, he's a popular victim among rabid fangirls.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rain from "Ninja Assassin" would be their top pick to take on his role IF there was a sequel to that live-action Tekken movie. But I digress.

Christie's babydoll dress is lovely. Never thought she'd actually wear one. Initially I was hoping for something more Akira Kazama-esque.

 oh boy here we go. We all know you love hype at annoying levels. Sorry that I don't get caught up in idiotic hype.

Kind of a shame you have such a tendency to look down on things/people you don't agree with. Negativity comes often from you ...

Anyway, no one says you, personally, have to like hype. It would just be cool if guys like you, and GFM, would just recognize that your views on it put you in a minority, and accept that there are a LOT (more than me) of people who respond favorably to hype. If it wasn't worth it, companies wouldn't keep pumping things up. There is nothing "idiotic" or "annoying" about it. ;)

Try 24 hours, EC. It's only 4:33PM Wednesday in merry ol' England.

Game Over, you brought up the while hype argument in a negative manner and then neither Raansu nor I claimed to be in the majority with our opinions. Saying I have a preference means I have that preference. Don't bring up shit and then try and point the finger at Raansu and myself.

Amusing spin.

You both speak negatively on the topic. Raansu calls it a very bad thing, leading to disappointment, and also specifically attributed to it the adjective "idiotic". You say it causes people to have wild expectations, and leads to disappointment. I, on the other hand, am highlighting what's good about hype, and the purpose it serves. It is not the negative catalyst you two are making it out to be. And ... I'm the negative one here? lol

Also, just because I say that you two are in the minority, it doesn't mean it was some response to either of you specifically implying that you were not (lawyer-style latch on one line approach to arguments). It was a statement made recognizing that there are not a lot of people here, nor throughout the general populace, who agree with you.

But anyway, my post was more geared as a response to Raansu, and you're just jumping the gun solely because I mentioned you as a sidenote. In any case, I've said what needed to be said and now have better things to get to, so I'm signing off.

Solid!
We Canuckleheads get some representation in the DOA games, which now means I'll have my 3rd character to use.

Yeah, I also give more respect for Baek for some reason.

Hwoarang is just for the ladies in my book.

I like Baek more than Hwoarang as well, we never said who we liked more, but yea, he's talking about bland TKD characters all about justice. Hwoarang has that "Ima do what I want and kick some ass" type of persona while Baek is more about discipline aka...Ryu to Ken from SF basically...

IDK fighting in war for your country sounds like justice to me....

Justice =/= Patroklos

Different characters had different ways in going about things, Beak still fights for his sense of justice even in T6(against the Mishima Zaibatsu who started a war against the world...it gets not clear then that). Ryu himself shows heroic traits all through the SF series as well(defeating Bison, and (a)Seth without having a need to do so).

Haters gonna hate, but I couldn't care less for this Rig guy and his TKD style fighting. I mean, I appreciate TN efforts to introduce some fresh faces but I don't feel like DOA needs more new characters. I felt like this since that .exe leak showing this Rig and Mila. So, no hype for me.

I liked Christie's outfit, tho. :)

I think new characters are generally good for any game, though people disliked removal of 60% of the cast in SCV I still liked the game and the new characters(except Xiba), DOA5 isn't really replacing anyone...well if you count Ein being completely gone then...I guess, to he was replaced with Hitomi in 3 >_>' and Gen Fu's old ass could be replaced by Elliot, but since the game needs more old people...they kept him...uhhg going off on another rant...
