We have seen a lot of very pretty but heavily edited screenshots of Last Round so far. We couldn't really tell, what the game was actually going to look like and if for example antialiasing or textures were considerably improved or not.
In the following preview of Last Round: http://www.usgamer.net/articles/dead-or-alive-5-last-round-preview-a-comprehensive-package we now see the very first genuine screenshots of the game, apparently taken with the PS4 screenshot share function. These pictures will give us the first real glimpse of what graphical update we can expect of Last Round. :) (Keep in mind though, that the PS4 shared screenshots are usually of small file size and overall lower quality. The original picture on your TV screen will be more vivid in color and sharper.)

Is there a single article about this game without misinformation? :/ "Cliffhangers have been added"
The article also claims, the color saturation and lighting has been toned down, to make locales moodier, but that is not the case all. Last Round seems far brighter and colorful than DOA5/DOA5U. :/

i like that's its more saturated and colorful, honestly. the vividness gives it more appeal. aside from the skin, i'm really not seeing too much improvement and like jiggly said, lol the crowd. but truth, i really never paid attention to them before. at this point i reackon im going to buy it again regardless because my ps4 needs more games. but truthfully im ready for DoA6 but we probably won't see that for another 5 years.

side note: i almost wish they would've brought back the blurr feature. idky but it felt like it gave the fights more of a dynamic feel to them.

The skin looks better overall it looks a bit better, and the particles look great.. but that's it. Hair physics, stage and clothes textures are unchanged. DOA6 will change that.

The audience in the first picture, lol. (not a complaint, who cares)

Seriously, that audience looks does look horrible. Those 2D sprites look like some shit out of the N64 wrestling games.

It was hardly noticable before, but now in full HD with a much cleaner IQ, it will really stand out. Looks really out of place in a PS4 game. :/

You missed one:

Also there are still no mention to the online mode? no auto stage selection to prevent people from using a custom stage selection from their options?

I looks good actually and the stages look much more appealing unlike the old gen versions. With this transition for the new consoles i hope they anounce doa6 by the end of the year.

5 years ? No no. That would be 2020, 7 years, like the gap between DOA4 and DOA5 because of Itagaki's departure.

DOA5 : September 2012 (TN supported it 1 full year)
DOA5U : September 2013 (TN supported it 1 year and a half)
DOALR : February 2015 (TN will support it maybe... 6 months to 1 year at best with a few DLC characters maybe)
That would be already 3 years.

In E3 of this year, they will probably announce a new game that will keep them busy (either a NG or DOAX3 or a Virtua Fighter collaboration). A DOAX3 on PS4 with tons of bikini DLCs will last 2 years at best. Then DOA6 will be announced in E3 2017 or TGS 2017 for 2018 at worst. When DOA was still alive, there was a 3 year gap maximum (DOA3 - Q4 2001, DOAU - Q4 2004, DOA4 - Q4 2005).
Just my predictions of course.

agreed. Sadly, modern day racing games like Gran Turismo 5 also implement the exact same cardboard cookie cutter crowd figures

They picked some of the worst stages and the most awkward positions for the characters to show off the game.

they're talking about DOA5 compared to whatever DOA game they played before. they have no clue what Last Round is or why its different.
