Is there a better way to change lip color than paint brushing over the color in gimp?

With photoshop there are a number of brushes that I use and you can mess with the opacity as well, so it maintains the texture. I could help out if you want?

BTW, trying to make a night 'Desert Wasteland', but it's pretty difficult. Need to replicate the lighting on all the textures just right. But here's a WIP

The background isn't hi res as I want it to be - those dimensions are tricky - the back mountains I can't seem to find the texture for as well...

Maybe I'll just turn it all into snow lol?

Omgomgomgomgomg. I have another goal once I have a computer again.

I am going to make doa cel shaded. Not that shitty wind waker HD or borderlands half passed cel shading, but the true beauty GameCube wind waker cel shading.

I've always complained how dull and muddy doa5 looks and how I wish it was like a cross of the new gg and ff visuals and now this gives me a chance to do it!

Stage mod hype is real.

Here's all I got so far. I call it... "No Distractions"

Edit: Er, actually I think I'll call it "Some Big Distractions"

You could use that to capture animation footage. Make it a unique color like 255, 0, 255 and it makes for easy sprite creation or animations.

God, the Steam DLC makes the console prices look like child's play.

Can someone tell them to release the outfits individually like sane people? This is fucking ridiculous.

It's most likely that Steam (or someone higher up) was kind of wanting to avoid the "DLC clutter" that affected the PS3/360.

But yeah wish they would at least make the whole costume packs separate.

I doubt it was Steam making that call. Just take a look at Train Simulator's DLC. And that's for a game that less people will be playing and buying than DOA, and yet they're still content to unload all the armies of hell. My guess is that KT thought they could reap in the extra bucks by making people buy absurdly priced bundles rather than the few select costumes they actually wanted to buy (and reality is so cruel they're probably right).

Still, it feels disrespectful to anyone who didn't inherent a fortune from a dead ancestor or make a deal with a Nigerian Prince. I don't need the individual costumes, but releasing each theme set individually seems like common decency to me. I don't think that's too much to ask for.

Thought I'd have a go at this and decided to make the other doppelganger costume for Hayabusa from NGS and the preorder DLC outfit for Rachel from NGS2+.

I did not use Umod. It goes to places that don't even need to be touched. Use Texmod for texture modification. It's much easier and much more convenient.

You should see DW8's DLC inventory, it's sold in small packs and the number of packs is rather large. I would appreciate if KT could at least sell them in small packs (i.e. Ninja Pack 2). The way the DLC is distributed on Steam, it's good from a value standpoint (~$0.90 per costume) but there's no way in hell would many customers pay over $50 for a large costume pack.

Cool idea. I want a 2D DOA now

My theory on the DLC pricing is that Tecmo doesn't really care if anyone buys it or not. They predicted that the game wouldn't sell too well on Steam, and since only a small percentage of people buy DLC anyway it doesn't make much of a difference if they charge $1 or $100. They probably went with the latter to test the waters for more expensive DLC

I am working on some HD Hitomi and re-textured the beach sand to be softer and grainier
Images are PG-13 with some provocation intended because hey, it's DOA.

I am also using GemFX custom preset to try and get sharper visuals, softer skin, better lighting, and screen lens effects.

Jeans and T-Shirt re-textured and enhanced brought to 2k for jeans and 2k for shirt. Made the bra lace (more interesting visually)
