Yeah I hope there isn't anything as annoying as that to get the better weapons in XV, I didn't get much of them in FFX. Its worth it though for people that really like to grind and be powerful before the bosses. Luckily I managed to get through FFX without them.

Lulu's isn't that hard if you exploit a glitch in the programming. There's a part where if you run a certain way it'll strike in the exact same spot no matter what so all you have to do is run back and forth there.

Omg dodging 200 lightnings was super annoying, I did it with a little help from a friend xD
Indeed, getting Tidus weapon was frustrating, dodging those birds can be hard too, and the chocobo's movement was kinda... weird. I remember trying it for hours and hours, and finally I got that 0:0:0 xD
I never got Wakka's weapon/overdrives by myself, my brother did the job. I hate blitzball, dumbest mini-game in FF game xD

One time I got 0:0.0 but it was exactly 0:0.0 instead of negative time which doesn't count

Didn't want to take you guys off topic, but still quite surprised that FFXV developers added tons of FF music within your car. That's solid and cool. Expect a lot of music memes and pictures floating around that within GameFAQs or FF forums for that. They already started I hear.

One of the memes was:

Noctis: Pass the Aux cord
Gladio: You better not play trash
Ignis: *Plays FFVIII - The Landing*
Noctis & Gladio: -Smiles-

It was after, otherwise Ozma would absorb anything that is dark elemental (Ark/Doomsday). If it had been before, I would have replaced them with Flare and Bahamut, but they do quite a bit less damage instead of 9999 and I never really tried.
Makes sense now.

Know about the Friendly Yan trick?

I have a FFV question, if anybody can answer it: I am in the Air dungeon of the first world currently, and I saw some jobs take ridiculous amounts of job points to go to their next level. Am I supposed to grind for 400 battles always using the same job?? Seems weird to me... Like, do random battle give more job points later on?

I don't particularly want to use a guide on jobs as of now because it's fun to do things by myself, but such high numbers are puzzling me.

It's been a long time since I played V. If I remember, I didn't start leveling up the bigger portions of the jobs until you reached the final dungeon. There's an area there that grants a ton of ABP from battles but you gain no experience, which shouldn't be a problem really. Level 5 Death speeds up the battle quickly if you use that.

As for earlier locations I am unsure, FFV is one of the few FFs that I've only finished about twice. Never did multiple playthroughs, I did tell myself one time that I'd play it again but never did.

In the Crystal World of the final dungeon, you'll earn your abilities the fastest when killing the Movers.

I'll follow up later with more info on Jobs. Posting via phone is inconvenient.

i actually did play quite a bit of 5 so no you shouldn't have to grind like crazy otherwise i wouldn't have gotten anywhere because i rarely grind.

i should look back into getting the game on PSN. i stopped on iphone because i couldn't stand the remastered version. the sprites looked more like paper cut outs and they made all the colors more vibrant which clashed horribly with the icons using Amano's actual art for the icons.

I'd be surprised if he isn't. This seems like the type of game that would have a bunch of optional superbosses(which I will avoid like the plague)

I made some pretty good progress in FF14 today, had my first raid and didn't completely embaress myself the first guildhiest thought that was a train wreck. I forgot I had been reverted back to level 11 so many of my moves weren't working in addition to that I got bombarded with "helpful" info that I had to hurriedly sift through while my team fought.

im still not sure what to prioritize as a DPS either combos or DOTs. I've tried a few dungeons where I would go around inflicting it on each mob and others where I just focus down on one. I hav a while to figure out because these story progression raids are easy as hell so far.

Hopefully I can get my rogue to level 30 so I can start on the ninja class tommorow. I left off at the level 20 mission tonight but with my new understanding of Duty finders I should be able to level up quicker.

You won't need to learn all the abilities for the jobs you've attained right away. For now just focus on going to Job LV 3 for the following jobs-- Black Mage, White Mage, Time Mage, Monk, Summoner, Knight, Mystic Knight.

You have two options for grinding at this point. You could go to Crescent Island, or you can go to the Jachol Cave... the former being easier than the latter.

1) The small bed of land just north of Crescent Island is a den full of Black Flames. If you have a Summoner ready or already have the Job LV necessary to summon Ramuh, you're all set. Just spam Ramuh and you'll be raking in 3 AP a battle in no time.

2) The harder but slightly more rewarding alternative to earn job points quickly is at the Jachol Cave, where you'll occasionally find Skull Eaters, which are gray palette swaps of the Nut Eaters at a whopping 5AP a battle. Unlike the Nut Eaters, however, these things can kill you easily, so unless you're stocking up on Phoenix Downs, run like hell.

The best way to kill a Skull Eater at this point in the game is to have someone with the Geomancer Job (or a high enough Geomancer Job LV) and spam iEarth as fast as possible. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER MAGIC. If you do, the Skull Eaters will multiply by 5. And even if by some dad-gummed miracle you manage to kill all 5 of them, you will receive the same AP as you would killing a single Skull Eater. Just... don't do it. It's not worth the headache.

From Twitter:

Nurse: You've been in a coma for 10 years.
Guy: Can't wait to play FF Versus XIII.
Nurse: It's FFXV now.
Guy: How is it?
Nurse: Not out yet.

Can you spot it in Amano's ugly swirl of vomit?

This turned out to be so far correct regarding summons/bosses/super bosses that were in the game.
I still can't believe they made this an official promo art and even adorn the Deluxe Edition with it. Alright, no Deluxe Edition for me then...

Another much nicer official art that could tell you if your favorite summons are in, is this one:

ff15-world-mythology.jpg

This depicts the mythology of the game. It's obviously heavily inspired by the Last Judgment.

Ah no no, as optional post game superbosses within post-game content. Gilgamesh has been featured into most post-game relations. Such as FFXII as one of the final bounties, colosseum in FFXII-2 etc. He is a being that travels between dimensions through the rifts and made cases to bypass game logic and making references to other FF characters as well as cameo related items.

He even had a scene in FFVIII where Seifer sliced Odin in half and Gilgamesh came out of nowhere with a wave slash Zantetsuken on Seifer across the stage ending the battle completely.

FFXV imo successfully turned around from looking rather empty, sterile and lifeless (compared to the likes of Witcher 3) to a rather detailed, beautiful game world full of life. :)
