Mila Infinite Found


So apparently a Mila infinite has been found. It requires Mila to knock you into a wall down and do :2_::P::P::P::P:... and it continues until the Mila player messes up or time expires. The damage is worthless but mainly this locks a player into the ground until time expires.

The only way to escape the infinite is to tech roll when landing on the ground, but the netcode makes that difficult online unfortunately.

Needless to say, this should be banned at all tournaments until a patch comes out to hopefully address the issue.

Feel free to tweet @TeamNINJAStudio to get their attention about this glitch and hopefully we'll see a patch sooner rather than later.

So many problems at the launch...:confused:.And me who wanted to main mila people won't play with me online:mad:.hope they'll fix this ASAP and other problems on the growing list....

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing. If it's techable, why ban it. Then again, I come from a 2D, SF background and we've never banned any combo save for stuff that actually glitched/crashed the game no matter how "cheap" they seemed (Sean/Ibuki touch of deaths in SF3:2I, Makoto's TOD in 3rd Strike, crouch cancel infinites in Alpha 3, etc.)
 
This is nothing compared to the stuff I've seen banned... I come from a 3D background (SC, VF tourneys ) and even I think it shouldn't be banned. This infinite is extremely situational, not to mention it can be tech'd. If someone puts themselves in a situation where you are knocked into a wall (danger zone, keyword: danger) + don't have the common sense to tech, that's your own fault and should accept the, albeit lame, consequences.

That's along the lines of considering a ring out, or the extra damage from a wall hit be broken. By that logic, all tourneys should be played in the Tatami stage-- not gonna happen.

Situational & Tech'able. I say tourney legal.
 
This should be banned because it's stupid to have a single move like this that can effectively shut you out of a game. I know if you play 2D fighters you may be used to stuff like this, but in a game like DOA it just makes no sense to allow this. Not only does this bug allow a Mila player to have an advantage they were never intended to have, but it's also just annoying to have to watch an entire round of a person lying on the ground while the other person mashes punch the entire time. Is that really what you want DOA tournament play to look like?

Based on the everything I heard when it was being tested, it's not techable. I'm not sure why people keep saying that it is.

Also, hitting any wall in the game does not create a "reasonably situational" argument for an infinite that is this slow and stupid to watch. Not with the amount of knockback that DOA has, and how tight many of the stages are. If we were talking a specific area of a specific stage which could be avoided with a degree of intelligence, thats entirely different.
 
This is why you dont fucking rush a game ...

- shitty menu pauses, glitches ..and no fucking language save .. SERIOUSLY !?
- shitty online despite the promises ... No rank filter or decline option to get rid of laggy fights ...
- the most half assed survival compared to one of the most fun modes in the previous titles ...where are my fucking fruit and veggies and gold !?!!
- no tag mode survival... seriously probably the most fun mode ever made..
- no team battle .. I dont care if no1 used it ... back home we did all the time and it was a blast ...
- no offensive tagging ... (why this was removed I have no fucking idea)
- very limited entry and exit animations and quotes. I know this is not part of anything in the game, but it was these little things that brought the game to life ...
- dont get me started on the soundtrack ... (no character theme options)
- now this BS ..

I am aware that they are trying to make some sort of a serious fighter and remove all the bad elements .. but lets look back a little ..
- even with the lobbies and the avatars .. I still think DOA4's netcode was far superior. we used to be able to play the people in the states no problem. and it was a 7 YEAR OLD FUCKING CODE!! how can you fuck something like that up !? now there are even problems Locally !
- you cant claim you're being serious as an excuse to remove all these side modes when you're showing tits and ass all over the place .. that doesn't fucking make sense. If you want keep it entertaining visually you need to keep it entertaining interactively as well. being forced into shitty survival mode hell just for a skimpy swim suit is NOT fighting entertainment.
- I am aware that little things like this can be missed, but really this is what happens when you shove things in a game at such little time. and alot of us are aware at how especially the last few characters were rushed in .. not to mention that this also lead to the loss of some fan favorites (namely ein and leon... I wouldnt call tengu a fan favorite but i am sure there are a few people out there that are pissed that hes gone too .. Raidou would have been nice for nostalgia's sake .. )

- It sucks that the company heads just want to get the money in milk the next project ...But I would like to see more suppoor for this game through Good DLC.. namely Tag mode survival and Team battle.
- Fix the fucking ranked mode with a decline option and show Ping
- This may not ever happen but giving back those left out characters would be great ... and team ninja should fucking understand ... EIN is NOT fucking HITOMI .. and most certainly LEON AND BAYMAN ARE NOT THE FUCKING SAME, neither in move properties, movie animations or anything apart from a few signature moves.

- This is entirely optional but would serve a nice little gap filler for any new comer fans...
If they were to add the characters ...
Make an Prologue story mode ...3 short chapters (3-4 fights in each) ... use the same fucking old voices and quotes even .. no1 will complain ...
Theres a big empty space in the story tree on the bottom left side .. and they can easily fill this in ...
1- DOA1 maybe with Ayane and leading to Raidou ...
2- Project Epsilon with Ein, leading to Tengu in the end and Hayate regaining memory
3- "The strongest man in the world" ... start it off with Leon in the same battlefield even and have him holding Roland as if shes was dead as a result of a past battle.. if anyone recalls the cutscene, there were gunshots in the back when she said her famous quote, and make the ending that he simply walks away ... whatever. USE THE SAME DAMN OLD VOICES AND QUOTES,for nostalgia's sake. Hell, blame the old war on a Donovan experiment and you have instant integration if their excuse was that he was out of the story loop ..

I would hate if this game were just milked with costumes only ...seriously ...

I am not denying that this is arguably the best and most solid DOA gameplay wise ...they have done a great job in assuring this ...

but, you can't just throw that in as an excuse every time someone complains about your game being not on par with the previous titles in some other elements that may seem minor to some, but really brought the game to life...90% of this could have been easily implemented ...
If they fucking copy pasted Gen Fu the way they did they could easily have done that with the rest as well ...

Chances of anything outside of costumes ever happening is as close to 0 as hover boards ever becoming a reality ...Especially with the shitty management I keep hearing from the Tecmo Koei heads in japan ..

I understand eliminate the possibility to switch and immediately holding the adversary like in Doa Dimensions, but why also the attacks? Yes, I know that could be annoying when someone abuses of it (I admit that sometimes I did it myself in DOA4 against players more skilled) but for an expert player it wasn't really a problem.

It is not a problem .. ESPECIALLY in this game with a strong sidestep system !

Wow that is fucked up. I wouldn't be surprised if more people started to abuse this after discovering it. Until the patch comes, STAY AWAY FROM THE WALL! Lol

But if you can get out of the inf every time by just hitting a button and bam we're free. So there is a way out of it.

This isn't a ban for the TOD as much as it practically 'breaks the game'. Sure you can tech the wall hit, but you're talking about DOA here. It's not like DOA3 where you had infinites on certain areas of certain stages. This is on any wall on any stage. If some how you're knocked into the wall the player can literally just mash :2_::P:

This is the equivalent of getting a jump in on Ryu and c.Short has no push back with a 6 frame link to another c. short... for the rest of the round. Sure Ryu could have shoryukened but really it's something that shouldn't be on display in the grand finals of a tournament... especially when it's only this one character. At the same time it's not like you're asking the Mila player to sacrifice juggle potential here because there's literally no reason to be juggling with :2_::P: off the wall.

Glad to see you finally got the game. I'm still mad they didn't give you a free copy. I'll go line by line with everything you said.

-Yeah whoever made that netcode needs to be shot. I thought it was my connection, but it wasn't. How did I know this? I took out my DOA 5 disc and put in P4A and had a lag free match.

- I haven't tried it yet.

- Sigh.....I don't care about Ein and Leon. Ein-He just Hayate who knows karate. You can't keep stretching that story line. He wasn't an hitmoi clone, but he was a vanilla Hitmoi that a lot people who wanted an easy character that didn't take much work to be solid with. Leon-Not a bad character gameplay wise. He wasn't a Bayman clone, but when you had little to do with the story. You're kind of useless.

Also....their a rumor they are coming out with another costume pack in Oct.
