Looking for a mentor/Someone to train with

Well...I'll admit I'm a little scared(and possibly you guys might think this is dumb) to post this but so be it. I'm wondering if anyone is willing to train me as I have already been doing solo training up until now since launch but to very very little avail. So instead I've been pondering over whether I should ask for help around these parts. If anyone is willing to then you will find me on Xbox 360,(gamer tag is same as in here) and also I will apologize in advance to anyone who's willing to help. You'll find out why.

I would help if I had internet. I almost taught someone from the ground up. The person didn't even have the fundamentals of blocking down. Still was willing but of course the person didn't want to put any effort into it. I guess he thought that he would get good overnight.

Have you read through these forums? VirtuaPai's Starter Guide is very helpful if you've played other 3D fighters. There are a lot of other guides and a ton of info on specific characters in various threads. Studying frame data and learning how to use Training mode is essential in getting better. If you still need help, you can watch a bunch of tournament footage.

Don't feel ashamed or nervous. I'm sure someone can help. I'm not very good at this game, but it's an ongoing process that never ends.

Yes I have and it has helped but it also feels like I'm stuck in limbo. Heck I've even forgotten some DOA terminology as well. Still though thank you for the advice and I will continue to train.

Do you know frame data for your character and the matchups you struggle against? Knowing what to punish and how to set your opponent up is a huge step up from most of the casual players. I'd suggest playing as many people on these forums as you can and get feedback on what you can improve.

Brute: If you aren't going to bother with what was requested in the OP or at least suggest anything proper, then please stop posting.

DarkShadeXZero: What do you need assistance with, specifically? Also I realize that you're in the Los Angeles area, as am I and a few other players here in the forums. Maybe there is a possibility to play/assist you offline if you're within' the area~

He's basically saying: "If you go out of your way to help me, you'll endure some mysterious pain in the ass that I'm too inconsiderate to mention beforehand." My goal was for him to realize how strange such a request was and then elaborate on said unknown conditions in an attempt to be more clear and bring in people who can more accurately help him in light of such conditions.

I am bothering with what was requested in the OP, more so than I or anyone else should when presented with such absurdity. In layman's terms: chill out.

Lol now I'm jealous. Seriously, if you can make it out to offline locals and train with Hajin, I am infinitely jealous. Good luck ;)

I don't know much frame data for my character. Since I've been playing since DOA 1 I know most of the fundamentals. After a while of not playing DOA 4 I lost my edge completely(or everything skill-based for that matter). So you can basically consider me green as grass(again). With that said I figure it'll just be better to start from the ground up with some help instead

Check out the wiki on this Site for your character. I'm no expert, but knowing my character's frames helped a ton since I know when to block and when to keep attacking. I'd help if I had an Xbox..

Brute: Then you can just simply not post.

DarkShadeXZero: I follow you. Well, I don't have access to Xboxlive, unfortunately. I could direct you to some players I'm familiar with that probably wouldn't mind helping you out. Would you also be interested in offline casuals some time? It's a nice way to get more hands-on practice.

Also, I forgot to mention, the game's Move Details will actually show you your character's frame data when turned on (even outside of training mode). You can always use that if you need an idea of what's what for Mila (or anyone else). The console versions of DOA5 doesn't display everything for frame data, but enough to at least understand what anything is initially, what's advantageous, disadvantages, trackable and non-trackable.

Thank-you, Captain Obvious. Anyone can not post. Those who post typically do so in an effort to advance the thread's purpose. In this case, that is to help this dude. I already explained how my posts were intended to do precisely that. As such, my post is every bit as relevant as yours or anyone else's. And yet you for some reason highlighted mine as an exception, despite their being no logical reason to do so unless you simply don't understand their simple nature. I'm left to speculate why this is.

So yeah. Not giving any shits.

How is posting a gif helping someone? You haven't said anything in this topic that helps DarkShade with what he's asking, at all. Please stop dragging this out, as it is pointless.

Anyone adroit with basic communication signals could infer that such an image directs focus to the quoted material, and with a second-read may make someone think more critically about what the material implies and/or entails (either a responder or the OP).
With this post, I'm done breaking things down into baby steps just so that you can follow. If you need more clarification, just use common sense and figure it out on your own.
