Yes, I just picked up DOA5U a week ago or so. Tried or DOA and fell in love with the fighting game system! Long time Tekken-player though, so I know all about punishers, frames, oki etc etc in fightinggames.
I play on PS3 in Europe, and main Sarah Bryant, but someone told me that she isn't played like regular DOA characters. She has alot of frameadvantage and traps, I like that. Just wanted to see some high level play, but can't find any decent Sarah.
The reason imo matchups don't really matter in doa is because every character has access to tje stun system, holds, sidestep, and throws. Yes some have theie differences but when it really comes dowm to it. Its the player that determines the skill level of said character. And sorry about that. Did you pick up 5U? If so, who do you use and what system? I could help you out some in understanding the game.
Ok, thanks for response. I have no clue about the community, I'm just a noob. Didn't trash him, just trying to figure out the whole tier-list discussion thing. If it doesn't even matter in 7-3 match ups, when does it ever matter then?
First off ignore tier lists they're just opinions built up by people. Secondly this Ayane player although he stopped playing DOA a little bit after DOA5 was released hadn't played in a good while when he had joined the tournament. His fundamentals are still there if you actually took the time to watch the videos instead of trash him. He just didn't know the frames for Brad Wong. That is all.
Isn't Ayane vs Brad Wong like 7-3 matchup? Still the Brad Wong player won? Does that mean the Ayane player was a complete retard or that the tier list is total bullshit?
