Beating out a low WU kick is easy as a lot of characters have the option to. Doing that would just make the opponent want to mid WU kick or not at all. Increases mind game, decreasing options. I tend to do it when I can. WU kicks shouldn't just been thrown willy-nilly but they do have their advantages from time to time.
7K beating out the Wake-Up Kick was nice. Using strikes to beat out WUK's is underutilized (though can be understandable due to the inconsistent BS nature of 5U's ground game).
You more or less get a free ground throw after landing the knee attacks from the mount. Wonder why he didn't go for it, but 7K wasn't a bad idea since you can't wake up kick.
