What makes it worse is that these taunts can't be cancelled (or maybe I don't know what are the inputs to cancel them). I wouldn't be able to move until the taunt animation has finished.

Apparently, the only way to make these moves useful is for them to hit a standing opponent without mistake because these moves put him at high risk for launchers.

Some of the idle animations after them has to be landed hits, not on whiff. His Dragon Kick for example doesn't trigger the animation for when he jumps back if it misses. If it lands is when it triggers.

The only one I can think of here is his DS (stance transition) for when he lands attacks on hit/block/miss. I don't consider those taunts either way but depending on the sitaution on which one he ended with, they more or less are adding negative frames if the first hit lands on block into transition (varies if the move he landed left him +).

If the first hit recovers at 17, he can pull the follow up attack in a earlier state compared to doing the move at 22, even if both moves has the same negative properties like -10 or something.

Actually back in 5U pre-patch, Jann Lee's Dragon Kick allowed people to tech up which left him open as he's recovering due to his Dragon Kick on hit forcing that idle animation and recovery from the hit. Character running moves were able to get a free hit. If Raidou for example was introduced in 5U, he'd practically get a free fireball on hit.

Yeah I always found it weird he's not Huge Guard Break Character like Akira.

As for the Auto Taunts... Some of the are Disabled during Wall Bounces and Breakable Objects/Walls

Safe & unsafe is mind depended. Mark my words.

I see. It does leave him vulnerable when performed near the normal/non-breakable walls because the opponent seems to get up earlier before he finishes his taunt thingy.
