that's because nothing is easy to do in tekken. Tekken controls like a concrete log with rigormortis trying to control an out of control 18 wheeler with the brakes locked up.

How about you just not play it...? You clearly don't like it because every time you post something about it it's negative lol.. Just food for thought with a little common sense.

@Radiance Where's the negative in that? I like DOA's controls because it feels more consistent. That's why I said it's a good thing.

I'm just saying in general, every time you post something about Tekken it's negative. So how about just not play it lol..

Well, I like Tekken and it's my main fighting game for years, but the reason why I played DOA because I don't like Tekken 7. Which is why I don't play Tekken 7 so I only play the older games because I like them better. I like Tekken, but not Tekken 7. I'm a Tekken fan, but not a fanboy who sees every Tekken game as perfect and trying to make excuses for its flaws. I like the game, but I know it has flaws.

It's not really something of consistency. DOA's buffering system is a lot more loose, this actually helps people greatly who play pad and why majority play pad.

When you input an Izuna Drop, I'm willing to bet that 99% of those rotations at the bottom screen with the directions are most likely incorrect, but yet the game will still give you the Izuna Drop. Incredibly loose but pretty vital.

Tekken's buffering system is slightly more strict and the move command buffering got adjusted to compensate for upcoming players as well as not making things too difficult than they have to be. The layout is from the arcade build so most things are left unchanged since they expect input similar to a stick. T7 is pretty fun so I enjoy it.

If you do a 33 input on a PS4/Xbox pad, DOA will likely show it as 3223 or 3232 and you will still get the follow up attack after from a pad. This is actually a good thing in a way because not many want to invest in a stick or have good execution, so it's pretty loose. DOA is a fast paced game so having Tekken input or VF heavy buffering in DOA will make more than half the roster hard to use.

I quite agree. DOA's controls are more lenient which makes difficult moves more consistent to succeed. I'm having less trouble with Akira's 1 frame knee in DOA than in VF.

About Tekken though, inputs were stricter in the previous Tekken games. The controls became more lenient since Tekken Revolution and they kept it that way in Tekken 7 to make it more accessible for newcomers.

Tekken seems to pride itself on having some of the strictest circular inputs (KOF players have complained to me that Geese's inputs are tighter in Tekken 7 than KOF14 for instance).

DOA on the otherhand likes to keep inputs fairly loose (but strict enough to differentiate between inputs) to make the game more enjoyable by pad players like DB said and so the player can focus more on properly navigating DOA's mechanics as opposed to spending a billion hours practicing wall carry combos.

Tekken 7 is a blast to play, though Tekken's difficulty can feel a little "tunnel-visioned" around input execution and movement.

If Tekken 7 is your first Tekken, it's OK to think that way. Maybe I'm just used to the inputs on the previous Tekken games being strict that it felt a bit more loose in Tekken 7. Doing electrics, Giant Swings, and DSS felt easier. I talked to some veterans on how the inputs felt in Tekken 7 compared to Tekken 6 and TTT2, they said it felt easier and I felt the same way.
