I think both the PS5 and GTA6 are a few years off. I doubt we'll see PS5 before Fall 2019 (at the earliest) and GTA6 sometime in 2020. No point in getting too riled up IMO.
Its going to be virtual reality and you can have a live 3D experience of visiting the strip club and robbings banks left and right like a true bank robber
Its definitely going to be Part of the Rumor Machine but if they couldn't spin Motion Controls I doubt they could spin the significantly more expensive VR Craze.
Actually I think they could but the problem is they lack faith in very things they start.
You do realize that GTA5 released in 2013? It's by no means a recent game. It's also the only GTA game on current gen consoles.
Also I don't know how Nintendo has "Balls". If they had balls they would actually put down the money to make a console that can compete in power to the PS4 Pro or the XBone X, and not cheap out and keep being a generation behind from here on out.
I agree that Nintendo has got the right strategy but I don't agree that they have "balls", or that PS4 is necessarily a "PC wannabe". When was the last time Nintendo created a new IP? They have to slap Mario's face on everything they make for kid-appeal or brand recognition or whatever. No thanks. I haven't bought a Nintendo product in about 15 years and I don't miss them.
They don't create new IPs because they are a waste of Time.
The reason Mario is on everything is because using what they already have helps move things along faster.
Thats why Mario goes from 2D Platforming to 3D Platforming to Karting to Smash. Nintendo focus their effort on the part that matters... The Actual Gameplay... Mario is just a Placeholder.
Nintendo has actually created some new IPs in the past (Splatoon on the WiiU as something relatively recent), though it is pretty damn likely that they rely on Mario/Mario Kart/Mario Smash Bros. or Zelda to cover their asses every generation. PS4's & XBone's are closer to PC's than the PS3 was, but are by no means "PC Wannabes" (furthermore no one would buy a $1000+ game console anyway).
Nintendo tries to "standout" because they don't have the balls to compete with Microsoft or Sony head-on despite definitely having the resources to have done so after the Wii. Sony took a considerable hit during the PS3 era and still had the balls to produce a system more powerful than the XBone, and miles more powerful than the WiiU.
Furthermore, the Switch will not make more money than the PS4 this generation.
I was exaggerating along with you missing the point that on average, PC gaming costs more than console gaming (whether costing more money or more time to optimize, etc.). I.e. It's less convenient in some way than console gaming, one of the primary reasons why console gaming is more popular.
We'l never know the real reasons behind what they do.... But my Theory makes More Sense.
3 Times in a Row they did something that Microsoft and Sony didn't... actually they tried to hop on the Motion Control band wagon when the Wii went Gang Busters. But other than That Team Blue and Team Green have become more like PC Gaming than anything.
Furthermore, consoles by Sony & Microsoft are here to stay (and Nintendo too for now since the Switch is selling well). I just wish Nintendo would get their heads out of their asses and actually produce something reasonably powerful enough, which can also attract 3rd party support.
