Whoa, there. I think the term "slander" is too much.

I used to love the Tekken community before Tekken 7 came out. It used to be mature and friendlier, but things have changed now that it became the opposite of what it was before. Can you blame me for hating it though? I've been a part of the Tekken community for years since Tekken 6 and contributed quite a lot, but I wish I wasn't so loyal.

It's the early 17 stoners that have come from elsewhere, those guys are the weirdest. The "real" community is more in chill stream chats than the convoluted forums now from my observation. And don't even think about going on the subreddit xD

I've recently come to be bored of Tekken 7 due to the "lack" of content, cheaters and scumbags who play the game online. Once you get that high rank it's hard to have fun.

Yeah, I know. Because most of the scumbags I usually encounter are newcomers aside from the repulsive judgmental veterans, bringing their toxic culture into the Tekken community, and some have been contaminated by Aris's sh!t talking persona. But because they're stuck in the community, they're already a part of it.

Many of the old players have left, including me. 70% of the Tekken community right now are newcomers.

I'm not only bored of Tekken 7 because of the lack of content, but also because of the simplified game play that there isn't much to explore compared to the previous games, and the unappealing graphics.

The missing legacy characters didn't bother me so much because all of my mains are in the game, except Armor King.

It's too many childish people playing Tekken these days. Never had this problem in 5DR, 6 or even Tag 2. But 7 comes out and it's "you're only winning bc you play Eddy" and RQs all day. I don't have Julia or AMK either so capo is the only character I have, despite getting 3 other characters to Orange rank.

My brother doesn't have Lei or Bruce, and he hates Josie's character so he left like 3 weeks into the games lifespan. I also feel like all the combos are the same, nobody styles like they used to in the older games.

It's really not good out here.

Josie would have been better if she wasn’t a crybaby. She's fun to play, but her personality is cringy...

I couldn't say much Tekken 7's game play because there's barely anything new. It's just Street Fighter and Tekken Revolution mechanics being added into the game, with the dumbed down generic throws and nerfed sidestep and backdash. Tekken 5 will always have the best movement then Tekken 6 & TTT2 comes second.

Tekken 4 and Tekken games before that didn't have good movement either, but it wasn't so bad during its time. Backdash canceling in Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag 1 feels weird, but they're still one of my favorite Tekken games.

I only like Tekken 3 for nostalgia reasons because it's my first Tekken game, but I like Tekken Tag 1 game play much better because of the new wake up/ukemi mechanics.

The nerfed sidestep fully just pisses me off at this point. Armor attacks are dense ngl, but sometimes it helps. I mean I'm a little bit happy about the dumbed down generic throw breaks etc bc that shit was the one thing I struggled with pre-7. I was too young to get that shit right lmaooo

I'm also a little bit bothered that I never truly got to play vanilla T5 how it was supposed to be played because I was wayyyy too young to play any game at a competent level. Tekken Tag 1 was my first Tekken game and it came out in the year I was born, but i then got 4 and 5 literally a few weeks afterwards and played my life away on that shit lmaoo

If I were the one who designed Tekken 7's game play, I'd rather just increase the throw break window instead of making 1+3 and 2+4 grabs breakable by either 1 or 2, but they did both anyway. Throw escape window used to be 15 frames, now it's 19 frames.

The nerfed movement pissed me off as well. Moving around feels stiff. They should have never touched it and let it stay the same.

I understand why people leave the Tekken community. I recently wanted to get into tekken but i never really put effort getting into it. The characters, stages and gameplay just feels very bland to me. I literally only play Kazumi in tekken.

Anyway back to the topic of your status:

In all honesty, as much as I find the new characters and stages in Tekken 7 bland, I think Kazumi was a good addition to the game. I find her fun to play along with Josie. For the stages, Noctis's stage is one of the few stages in the game that look really good.

So I don't entirely dislike Tekken 7, but it's the Tekken game I like the least that the good sides of it really didn't attract me enough to stay.

Some people are just close-minded bigots, and some lack rationale. They will only agree with people that supports their perspective. The screaming fanboys, the elitists, the newcomer scumbags bringing in their toxic culture, and other people with IQ below 50.

I remember some Tekken veterans who stayed in Tekken 7 didn’t have these kinds of negativity before Tekken 7 came out. They turned into jerks for some reason.

You just did an accurate representation of what the Tekken community is like right now.

Someone assumed that I suck at the game who's stuck at the green ranks just because I don't like Tekken 7 when I'm really good at it, and I got to Overlord in just 4 days before I stopped playing.

I don't see a legitimate reason for such elitism being in Tekken 7 when the game is dumbed down compared to the previous games.

I'm currently overlord and shit got so much worse. I barely lose and I see myself getting Genbu if i was to play it again, I won't tho. 400+ hours is more than enough and every match bores me.

Everyone just thinks high ranks is validation. Pretty garbage.

I stayed LR rank in DOA5LR because I couldn't be asked to play ranked after the reset
