I used to be a fan of the Naruto Storm games. I played Naruto Storm 3 because of Madara Uchiha. And then I got bored of it when I realized how simplistic the game play is. It felt like a hack and slash game than a fighting game. I never played Naruto Storm 4 for that reason.

.hack// contains the same elements as the Naruto Storm games, only with different characters, stages, and slower pace.

What did they make for Square Enix ?

Asura's Wrath sounds propitious. I heard it's one of the best games they've made. I wish they made a sequel for that one though.

@Lulu CyberConnect2 worked with Square Enix for the FFVII remake, and they fired CyberConnect2 for some reason.

they were originally co-developing Final Fantasy VII Remake, their work was in the PSX 2015 gameplay trailer.

They got fired last year though and Square are developing the game in-house.

As for Asura's Wrath... I heard its got alil bit of controversy surrounding it....

Really? Why?

Apparently the game had an abrupt ending.... then later on it turns out the real ending was being sold as DLC.

Also it had an excruciatingly large amount of QTE's...

Wow... That's some predatory bait right there.

Yeah it was during the high point of the Capcom Predatory practices of the 7th Gen Era...

Back when everyobody was complaining about the On Disk DLC of Street Fighter X Tekken I think.

@Shirataki Tsume If all you do is play the versus modes, then yeah Naruto Storm will get old real quick. The story mode is the real draw, with the open world exploration and iconic boss battles.

But the Open World was awful...

what? HOW?! the entire world was hand painted, it was gorgeous. If you mean it was empty, well sure, it was supposed to be scenic, lol. I loved roaming around the full world in 2, 3, and post game 4.

Well Yeah... Empty... and pointless... lol... it doesn't even go open until you finish the Adventure. And you only see it from the same angles everytime.

It was tedious as all hell.

Eh, preference. I loved it. I hated the post game quests that had you running back and forth across it for fetch quests, but loved exploring and discovering the world during the story.
