DOA6 got a nomination for IGN's Best Fighting Game @E3 also. It'll likely win that too.

Considering DOA 6 was the only actual fighter there (Smash falls into the same category for some reason but everyone will vote DOA because Smash is supposed to be a party game) they're a shoe in for top pick in the genre this year.

That said they still deserve it!

Poor SCVI :'(. Ah well, can't wait to "Break" blow Marie Rose's & Honoka's faces into oblivion next year =P.

General Speaking when al time famous debate of whether or not smash is a fighting game is mostly just semantics.

The point is, with some light banning of certain elements, its extremely competitive... just like other fighting games.

@Lulu It's winning best in fighting across the board for aforementioned reasons, and best overall with a couple yeah. I've been digging around myself. Perhaps this is why they pushed so hard to have news and Demo out by E3 because the competition for accolades in the Fighting genre are nonexistent for them.

The only fighting games nominated this year. A few will vote for Smash. DOA will come out with some pretty badges to throw on their advertisements though lmao

Honestly, I found their exhibition at E3 pretty underwhelming. The fact that they still beat Soul Calibur by default just shows how bad Namco fails at life.

Yeah. Tell me about it. Soul Calibur VI's marketing has been pretty lackluster so far. The same thing happened with 2012's disappointing Soul Calibur V as well. Namco just doesn't get marketing at all. =P

Namco doesn't really get gameplay either unfortunately at times.
