I mean, we all knew that the two of them would be getting together if the NES trilogy was anything to go by.

It won't stop. People have their fanfics & fantasies even though I tried to kill off that noise too. I think people want to see them together as a power couple in the DOA series & people at this point are more dialed in for DOA than NG as a series. Unless they both were to take a plot turn for them to be shipped. Personally, I think Hayabusa is a better friend to Kasumi than what Hayate is as a brother. Who knows?

Kasumi is just one of those characters that should stay single. I can see why people want her with ryu since I did in doa2, given her plot he's the only logical love interest for her. The ship will always continue with people for clear reasons

It's mainly because Ryu literally shows her more care than Hayate. He looks after her even though she's considered a runaway. In 5, she stayed at his village with Muramasa & asked her to come to fight with them. So, yeah. I mean I think they're fine the way that they are but it also wouldn't surprise me if they did ship. Hayate only does it whenever no ones around or whenever they have to fight opposition.

People will always ship them together though. I hate that this is limited on characters-_-
