@HHH816 can we read it somewhere? I only watched yt videos, but I am worried that doa6 might fail again. People are still riding the esports wave with trash 7 and their lying producers as well as microtransaction fighter 5. Even Arcsys has a hard time competing against them and their games are hits in Asia
Because they think that their voices are heard, I mean, fanservice is back and all but not because of them, most people knew that they'll bring back at least a bit of fanservice in DOA6.
@XxNoriakixX The reason why those two games are the most popular fighting games (outside of DBZF) is because every single fighting game outside of these two isn't Street Fighter or Tekken (again, DBZF is an exception).
these people are idiots who know nothing about the series. they lose their mind every time a DOA trailer doesn't feature a bikini because they have no idea what DOA is besides a fan service game but will loudly announce how "it just isn't the same anymore" or "it got censored" Hitomi debuted in a fucking lettlerman jacket in DOA5 you think the karate gi is censorship?
They're annoying, I wanna pop off on them sometimes but then I have to remember that I'm 20 now and can't be acting like im still 18 years old xD I think it's just best to ignore them, but it's hard, especially since they're downing one of my favorite game franchises...
That's why I love how Harada treated the game's "fans" about the Lucky Chloe fiasco, he made a joke about them adding a strong muscly man for the U.S (and EU I think?) version of the game instead of her, which is the equivalent of him giving the middle finger to the "fans", because he knew that they're going to buy the game regardless.
People think that complaining about elements of said game will make the company immediately "correct" their "wrong" decisions, which really isn't the case, since most of these complaints are pointless or straight up bad. There are times when its helpful though, Dante in DMC5 might get a new theme or a new vocalist for the Subhuman song/theme, which is good.
@ChaolanLegacy that's why series like cod and fifa will never die. People will buy it regardless so as a Dev you won't have to fear anything. That's why you won't find any of the old Tekken guys on tz and fb anymore. We simply did not buy the game or bought it on G2a to show this ignorant clown harada that he can't do whatever he wants, especially after his lies
@XxNoriakixX Now that's a Tekken site I haven't heard of in a while now. To be fair, Harada might've wanted to give us free stuff like in Tag 2, but the higher-ups decide what will happen, same might go with Shimbori wanting to make a more mature and less fanservice focused DOA (which is more or less like that still). If I'd be hating on every single fighting game that has microtransactions or overpriced dlc
@XxNoriakixX or a lot of dlc in general, then I'd still be playing DOA2, Soul Calibur 3 and and Tag 2, which is still pretty fine, but honestly, I don't see the point of being angry about a game because it is incomplete with a bunch of dlc and microtransactions since almost every single game is like that these days. Sucks, I know, but this is how video games and the business around them work these days.
And when we compare all those games to Doa over $2000 worth of dlc garbage milking. And when doa 5 made 3 copies of the same game why are we complaining again? plus neo tengu being dlc for doa 6 LOWLEVELDRAMA.
That's why we should stand up instead of simply sucking it down (in Duke nukem voice lol). They could be less greedy but why? People will still buy and defend it because "muh 5 years without a new entry so I want a new one". I would probably do the same and laugh about every customer. Plus doa5 was okay because idc about cosmetics or guest characters
Yeah, I'd truly wish that we'd get a fully finished product even if it'd take them like an extra year to release it and that most dlcs for the game, like character costumes and stages would be free, with character dlcs costing half as much as they cost these days. Dead or Alive 5 Vanilla was a bit meh for me, but not because of dlc costumes or guest characters.
