I agree. The only thing I ask people when they first play DOA tho is, do you like rushdown, grappler focused, or do you prefer to play defensive. Then Ill make suggestions from there
I bring this up because its easier to maintain interest in learning a game if you're playing someone you like...
And the learning process is a giant pain in the ass.. suffering through that with the "Beginner/Fundamental Character" is guaranteed to make anyone just quit and play something else.
Eh, I still recommend that people start with Hitomi, Ein, Jann Lee, Momiji, etc. if they're learning DOA as opposed to say: Ayane, Hayabusa, or Helena for example. But once someone runs into a competent Christie, GenFu, Helena or LeiFang for instance, they may be thrown into fits.
