It's not a big team yeah. I mean, Square Enix themselves went to TN to make Dissidia. Shows what a small team was capable of.
TN's graphical portions are just fine with most stuff people are just nitpicking. I think TN just needs more developers in general. Ironically just like DOA that it needs more players.
Team Ninja is basically carrying Koei-Tecmo in terms of graphical output from their games. Nioh looks fantastic, Dissidia NT looks fantastic, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round looks fantastic, Dead or Alive 6 is shaping up to look like the best looking 3D fighter this gen (although there's always room for improvement of course). The knock on DOA6's graphics is indeed mostly nitpicking.
It's not nit-picking when I cannot even see grounded fighters and when I get a headache after only 30 minutes of playing.
The "I'm gonna accuse anyone that doesn't automatically like and accept everything as a nit-picker" crowd somehow manages to be the dumbest crowd among all the dumb crowds commentating DOA6's development.
Examples? or maybe people aren't like you viejo? Gettin' headaches, that sounds like an underlying health problem. Only game I ever played that gave me a headache that I can think of is....Guitar Hero, perhaps? IDK sounds serious. Wouldn't the danger zones in DoA give headaches if you see enough?
I can't give you examples of me getting a headache. It just happens as a result of eye strain. It's not a problem with me since I don't have this issue with 99% of other games (some exceptions; Fable 2, for example, had enough bloom rape that it frequently induced headaches). As for an example of wretched floor lighting: https://www.freestepdodge.com/attachments/meme-jpg.27415/
Visibility seems to be an issue with games that are becoming more realistic looking. (Looking at you BFV) I guess this could be solved by simply minimizing the amount of debris and dirt that character collects.
The nitpicking crowd doesn't exactly look intelligent despite their attempts to appear so. They just sound like pessimistic, cynical bastards at times. But yes, the ground is too bright in that stage.
Pessimism is sort of inevitable when you don't mindlessly gobble up everything thrown at your feet. It's not about looking intelligent, it's about meeting the bare minimum for rational thought.
@Hold_Junkie93 Yes, though the concerns are not limited solely to oki scenarios. I will admit, however, that that street stage is the worst visual offense in the game.
