Think about this - there was no Kingdom Hearts 3 this gen, no FF7 remake and 13 was garbage. It's horrible to think that FF is going to end on such shit more but ah well.

It's crazy how these companies fuck themselves: Lucas Arts for example.

This gen: Lego, Unleashed....The old republic.

Somehow this kind of thing keeps happening. Bad management.

The old Republic was done by Bioware. George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney that was out of LucasArts hands. It had 0 to do with sales.

I'm just saying how mismanaged Lucas arts was. Old republic is a major financial bust and it's only the because LA didn't push for a stand alone sequel. Bioware wanted an MMO because it's a steady flow of cash but if Lucas had said we want Kotor style single player games then might be up to Kotor 4 by now.

So many companies piss away good IPs. Take Rare: where is conker, perfect dark and jet force Gemini?

So they have no intention to beg the staff of Mistwalker Studios to get them back on track, do they? Hmph.

Rare was bought by MS they couldnt do anything about Perfect Dark. It came out on 360 and failed. The problem is companies make mistakes. Then they try to correct those mistakes by looking at other games success. For console CoD for PC WoW. SE didnt scrap their series they failed immensely in an attempt to revolutionize rpg's and perhaps made the worst rpg possible FFXIII.

When it failed they tried again and failed twice cause the first one was so terrible. No one wanted to try the 2nd one and the ones that did played the 2nd said the story sucked. So they failed twice and what do they do? They look at on the surface shit. Oh "lets look at top grossing games and do what they do".

Can somebody explain what the hell the Sacred IP is doing? I'm so pissed at what Sacred 3 is going to be; a Diablo 3 rip-off instead of an open-world, couch co-op, EPIC RPG. I loved Sacred 2.....

Also Lost Odyssey was great but the traditional jrpg such as that is a dying breed. Hence why they made a rpg for Wii and never made one for 360 after that.
