This begs the question of what would be fair monetisation for DOA7? Harada defends T8's monetisation by mentioning that T8 cost 3 times as much to develop than T7 (though T7 doesn't exactly look like it had that high of budget and looks pretty ugly TBH).

Upon reflection DOA5/DOA6 were perfectly fine to charge for cosmetic DLC. Any additional stages were free apart from the licensed Attack on Titan stage in DOA5LR. I hate to use Overwatch 2 as an example, but I personally think stages and characters should be free (or unlockable within the game for free like in Apex Legends or for free from OW2's battle pass).

KT could charge as much as they want for cosmetics to be fair as long as the content doesn't constitute "Pay 2 Win" in any way. Tekken 8 still charging $10.99 CAD for a new character and not letting non-buyers lab him in a $90 CAD game feels kinda iffy now in 2024. AL or OW2 would get crucified for doing that.
