Nah, I think Gen Fu is really noob friendly. Even people who just started the game can get mad damage with him. Of course, an "advanced" Gen Fu is less cheap. Momiji also has this problem.

Yeah, you can go all noob with 3p with gen fu and get lucky and win some, but noob gen fu loses once the opponent realizes to just spam mid punch counter to shut him down lol. I used to do that too. Btw I like Momiji and don't think she's cheap

Momiji is pretty noob friendly, but like I said, an "advanced" version of the character is less cheap. Momiji has so many things that people don't know about.

Neither GenFu nor Momiji are "cheap", but they are easier to use than some other characters such as Ayane or Christie. GenFu does require a lot of MU knowledge to combat right because of how much reward he receives when he guesses correctly. However, you can generally narrow down his options to 50/50's between Mid P & Throw most times.

I believe you. I'd love to start learning Momiji. Her aikido-influenced ninjitsu moves looks nice and fun to watch. One day...

If you dive into Momiji beyond her gimmicky nonsense, she can actually be a pretty interesting poking/pseudo-zoning character

Good points. I don't normally have problems playing against Gen Fu, then again he's my main. Hard for me to relate to other people's problems with him

GenFu is actually Ayane's worst Match-Up. She hates his guts.
