That's a good question Tim. Naturally, you would think that the Virtua Fighters would have better Frame Advantage than Dead Or Alive fighters because of the difference in frame rate between the games. However statistically, there's a 0.9 frame rate difference

But the difference doesn't come from how long the frames are measured, but rather Frames Per Second.

Overall, Virtua Fighter is a faster running game than Dead or Alive. Because of this, Team Ninja had to see which moves the Virtua Fighters were too fast and properly slow them down. In hindsight, it may have been a mistake because two of the virtua fighters added need that speed
