Free Step Dodge

They're called "Telekinetic" Moves. They can hit ur opponent without even having to look like they touch. For ex. Busas 3P+K or Onygoin 2P+K

even so there are basic moves that seem to reach further that in a normal fight don't for instances a basic "6P" jab normally reaches about 2-3 steps in front yet in a random or specific event it could reach 3-4 steps. and such applies to just about any simple moves from my experience.

Is this Character Specific? Or have u found it going on with others as well? This for me happens with Busas Throws and Air Grab

Hitboxes have nothing to do with lag. It's just hitbox and hurtbox.

it occurs with just mainly from DOA characters VF's don't seem to get the effect atleast, ive never ran into it from them. I would test but like I said im not sure if its a random event or specific conditions need to be met.

The most logical explanation would be Hajin's one.

Hajins Explanation is indeed logical but when has DOA ever been completely logical? Its a bit to peculiar for me to simply except it as such. so I will attempt to test to confirm but I doubt i'll be able to recreate such conditions. nonetheless it couldn't hurt knowledge is power and power equals more slaves for me ;P

Some strikes have bigger or longer extended hitboxes over that character's hurtbox. Example: Ayane's neutral K doesn't even look like much, but actually has a longer extended hitbox, leaving her hurtbox exactly where she stood before being moved forward to initiate the neutral K's start up frames.

The neutral K actually hits directly in front of her, it's hitbox. Rather than her actual foot hitting you even if that's what you see in-game. The exact same thing happens with her 3H+K and P4P. Only exception is that P4P slightly moves her hurtbox a bit forward, but barely.
