@Awesmic: I'd love the answer to that too. It's just a game. We all win some and lose some. Being a ruby rank doesn't mean the player is immune to losing. I have received messages where a player says something along the lines of "Oh this guy was right, your Mila is trash", so clearly people do gossip about me.

(cont) Maybe insecurity plays a factor in it. Maybe the players who act the way they do, experienced the same exact things from other people. I really don't know. I don't message people after a match unless I'm typing "Good match".

Most people I've seen offline don't talk shit much because I can confront them immediately on it. Not to mention that I only play sets, not Ranked anymore. I wouldn't mind playing you online sometime, although I hate DOA online with a passion. I'm curious about your Mila lol.

Lately I've been fighting in lobbies, since I can barely find anybody in rank anymore. And I would like to play you too. I don't think we've fought before. lol!

It's cause this community is really bad. People lose and feel the need to try to bring their opponent down with them. It's no big deal, just annoying that they have to say something after EVERY loss.

@Force_of_Nature: Thanks. To be honest, I don't think I can pull off what I did in the last round (no pun intended) again. I was in the heat of the moment.

@ColonelColver: It almost discourages me from participating in tournaments (if there ever will be one here in New York), because with the way I play, to them it might be "cheap", or "cheating", or "scrubbish", even though it gets the job done most of the time. But you know, it just seems like no matter what you do, if they lose, it's automatically "BS" to them.

@Ichiron47, Oh but that' sthe glory of offline. The players don't complain because they know it's their fault they lost. And the thing most offline players go by is "Hell, if it works, keep doing it"

I will let you know that people only act like asses online. If they act like an ass at an offline event, they will be kicked out of the event and escorted off the premises. Most people are chill offline and at tournaments.

Protip: You're allowed to play as "cheap" as possible offline and you likely won't get shit for it unless your opponent is a complete scrub. It's the opponent's responsibility to adapt to your "cheapness". Online, lag always fucks things over.

That is really great to know. lol! I never understood people who comes up with excuses, because last I checked, there are no rules in this game (or fighting games in general) that says you can't do certain things, so I don't understand people online when they preach about pros and such.

I've always felt that if I lose, it's my fault for not knowing how to deal with whatever they're doing.

Ichiron, that last part is total truth offline. But online, many things can happen that would not be your fault. Take lag or hackers for example. If your getting online messages about stupid S*&t, they are just jealous. If they did not care, they would not have messaged you.
Ichiron47

@Kidachi_Ni: It tends to get annoying to receive messages, or even hear someone say on the microphone that I have a "lag switch", that I am the purpose of the lag in the match. I don't even know what that is.

I never understood the hate I receive, because I never disrespect players, either I win or lose.

A lot of online players have a bad attitude and get frustrated easily.

I'm currently in a lobby (gained host rights), and Solomo12 is being a hater to me. I don't know how I do it. My Mila isn't the best, but I find ways to win. Somehow it rubs certain people the wrong way I guess.

It would be great for players to tell me to go train (and give me tips on how to be better), AFTER they beat me, not the other way around.

Just ignore them. If you're winning and getting hatemail, you're obviously doing something right.

The other day I was trying to invite you to a private lobby to get you away from that nonsense. But after a certain length of time, I didn't know if you ignored it on purpose or you just don't like private lobbies.

@Force_of_Nature: I guess you're right.

@Awesmic: Sorry I didn't join. I wanted to make a statement by winning the tournaments 4 times in a roll. I wholeheartedly believe if I completely master Mila, they will still hate.

Just do your thing. But I will let you know that you'll eventually have to go offline if the people online aggravate you and "discourage" you. It's honestly hard to properly level up online.
