It's just different. There are certain things I do online that wouldn't wash in an offline match & vice versa. In my case, at least with LR slowness/lag don't start to really creep up unless it's more then 4 people in room.

Even on a 5 bar connection, offline is still the way to go. Especially if you play on monitors used at tournaments, the response times are different. Things you can get away with online, you can't offline. Don't habit yourself into using online tactics offline, it won't work.

I've heard offline and online have different frame rates on top of the horrendous netcode induced lag.

Ok, but say there was. completely no lag online, and you would just be comparing the speed of how things look with offline. Is online faster looking in that sense, or is it just fiction?

Offline is more responsive because online has an inherent delay in frames/inputs - regardless of how good the connection is.

In other words: Offline is "faster" since it is more responsive than online.

I don't understand how online could possibly be faster than offline.
