It's something that I've noticed in both my time playing DoA, and just speculation as a human being. An in game example would be noticing that you're not punishing enough, or relying on the same set up over and over, and have been blown up for it, but continue to do it because it's become habitual for you.

Ah, I see. Initially I would've thought it should work the other way around, that is; it is easy to fix obvious flaws. If you are aware of your own mistakes (e.g. lack of punishment), you can try to work on them. You can't be eliminating flaws you are not aware of.

But seeing your reasoning (i.e. your flaws become habitual), I can imagine it is difficult to change bad habits, no matter how hard you try. Probably because those habits are deeply rooted into your brain.
