SCIII is actually my favorite and a lot of other people's as well, i've heard SCV is disliked heavily mainly because of the roster, SC2 also is disliked competitively due to the numerous glitches the game has with fuzzy guards.

Please. SoulCalibur III was terrible competitively. Have you read Jaxel's history with that game in his History of Bans post in 8WayRun?

I vaguely remember reading something about SCIII on 8WR, i haven't been there in a long time.
The point is, there's a balance, i will agree SCIII had a pretty rocky development and overall, the game doesn't serve the competitive scene well, however, looking at SCIII as a game, its pretty damn good, single player modes were awesome and the create-a-soul mode was revolutionary for its time.
