@KasumiLover69 Here's the thing when it comes to reboots. Majority of reboots is exactly what the name intends. The name Kasumi could be there, however it might be a whole completely different character because she was rebooted. Ayane could have blue hair instead of purple etc.
Not just character, but everything. Kasumi and Ayane could of swapped roles or they are not ninjas. It could be anything which is what most reboots tend to do but keeping some of the mechanic behind it.
The reason why I asked is because most fighting game series have a life span. It's not like FF where the series will continue until the company is done. It is unknown how long DOA will last similar to Tekken and Street Fighter where those developers (or Harada for example) feel that Tekken may not last too too long and may reboot when he's not around making games anymore (or Ono) etc.
Well, if they created a new fighting game I have little doubt it would be terrible, seeing as the vast majority of the characters added post-5 are incredibly sloppy and poorly constructed. If they decided to reboot DOA, and kept the basic visual design characters of the characters in tact (mainly with regard to their fighting styles), then I wouldn't really care at all.
I would expect a Rumble Roses rip-off (I kid, I kid)
That would be... interesting. I totally don't want that to happen any time soon (I <3 DOA too much) but it would be interesting to see what they would come up with.
BUT I dont want a new gameplay, and totally NOT a super move and meter bar.
