I dont know about the gay community but Christie is a femdom Goddess.

It is mostly Helena and Rachel I believe, the characters touched their hearts apparently. When you look up Rachel and Helena's bio it clearly has no signs or indication for such beliefs, which leads to the conclusion that it's mostly something of mere fantasy developed by the gay community even if the character isn't truly in direct to such. It's not necessarily a bad thing even if the thought isn't entirely correct.

@whiterobes, I think that Christie and Rachel are in the kink community... I haven't really thought of them in any capacity as gay? It would be interesting to tease out if there was a certain quality they have that draws LGBT individuals. I'm not sure how to go about measuring that haha. Also... sex *is* a power fantasy. Is it a bad thing? Nah, it's not. However I do feel someone was bored to provide that indication when it generally wasn't to begin with and provides a trend that expands into making people believing so.

Oh sorry I didn't clarify XD DB. Well Lili is elegant, classy, and she fights rather flamboyantly with dance rather than brute force, that's what I think attracts them to Lili but I'm not very sure. Anna is also quite popular with that demographic too, but her appeal is glaringly obvious too. I honestly wish someone could explain as to what EXACTLY makes them popular with the gay demographic.

A lot of made up stuff comes up as popular. It's the trend behind it that makes it so. The character 'itself' was never intended to go that route, they just happened to that pick one, put it on a pedestal and say "Yup, this character is definitely part of the X/Y icon." with people starting to follow it because they need something to enjoy themselves or simply have something to talk about, kinda like religion.

But like I said, this is not a bad thing. Made up fantasies still interacts with people to allow them to stay. If people feel that a particular character is part of something, by all means you are free to make up or state your own theories behind it even if it's not actually true. It's part of what they enjoy so you can't take that away.
