That's the thing, it's happened to me twice against two really good Kasumi players(Not render or panic, they think I play fine), so I've kinda just started doing matches online not expecting to win at all, that lowers the stress I feel even though I don't have to prove anything to anyone.
"Some of them may insult you and say mean things. If it looks like you're about to hear something you don't like, shut your ears and run away immediately!"
Pressure isn't as annoying, you can basically make a good guess hold to shut it down, and blocking and waiting helps too. Zoning and spacing are a bit tougher to do properly, but they're hard to do anything about if done correctly. Pressure I can see if it's laggy, you can't really hold and no one plays good in lag.
With spacing, you have to think and wait to get in. I can usually just 2P or 2H+K if I'm being pressured but it honestly just depends on who you play and their habits
I can't rush down well at all, but I've gotten better XD. I usually just space and wait for them to make a move before I do anything, and in sometimes run forward to get a reaction so I can do something, then I'll back up again and wait. I got kicked a lot in 5U lobbies doing that ~_~
I remember someone got mad because for once, I was not rushing down with Honoka, instead, I was waiting for his moves. He should have been thankful now that I think about it xD (he was using Busa).
What exactly do you mean by pressure-based? Controlling the neutral game or out spacing your opponent is also pressure. Simply not doing much can be pressure.
@Brute I've picked several characters outside of my usual niche and have done what I said above. To make doing nothing feel like pressure is not allowing your opponent to do anything while you do nothing. The obvious part is having a life lead.
