See here's the thing, you are basing character tiers based on tournament wins, which is probability at most regardless of talent. To start off, "Bladez" won the tournament as Eliot. Eliot didn't carry him to win the games. When you make character tiers you are making a list of characters tools and how well it effects the other (vice-versa)

Tournament placing also defeats the purpose of tiers because one player could of went the entire tournament as one character, and then swapped to the other in Grand Finals and then people are influenced that the swapped character won # amount of tournaments.

@DestructionBomb is right about that tho . i can tell from my playtime on ps3 online the only 6 characters i see the most played are the 4 main ninjas rig and phase 4 -_- .

Also Jacky is a good character. You need a loyalist to play him. Issue playing with Jacky is that you need a person who gets those setups in correctly and not overcompensate on such. One dropped FSK on block and Jacky loses advantage. One dropped FSK in a juggle and Jacky loses 40%. You need a loyalist for that.

@Dark-truth: No one really paid attention to your post since you listed over one-third of the roster. If I blindly reached into a hat and pulled out a name, chances are decent you would've "already said that."

Unfortunately the loyalists for Jacky left the community, so the character is "just there." Raidou's slowly becoming that route since SilverForte is not interested in playing the character.

In my experience, Jacky is incredibly popular with randoms in PSN lobbies.

The execution level of VF5FS or VF characters isn't particularly high to the point that their execution comes off as way higher than all the DOA characters (I.e. Not everyone is Akira), though when combined with how DOA5LR's system mechanics work, it does lead to an additional element to worry about. I think that the VF's are fine in DOA overall.

I rarely encounter any. Though was mostly going into a competent one. Like a Jacky where they perform the kick on block and then the approach. I really think it's a good move from the character even on block, but I feel as though they lose hope trying to do it and I honestly can't blame them for that because I drop it on block as well.

My statement on Raidou and Brad stands, both on the representative and competent side of things. I only know 2 Brad players, neither of them main him, however. And I only know of a single Raidou main. Those characters have a similar-to-VF level of execution while being hugely dependant on the intricacies of DOA. It's not comparable to a character like Jacky.

If we are going for realism here, Jacky falls on that category as well. But then it leads to too many matters of subjective views.

@Brute: Relating to someone whose post appeared to be ignored at the time and telling that person not to sweat that there are some people who will or won't value his opinion isn't an "imagined victim complex". It's getting him to understand things don't always go as planned so he can accept it and move on. That's what my intention was when I was replying to him, last time I checked. But to each their own.

No Zack, Lei Fang or Hayate? Zack is like the fastest character outside of the 9 framers, mixup for days and damage that simulates a frieghtliner. Lei Fang if played correctly and competently can shut you down offensively and make you feel helpless while fighting her and Hayate has as much ring control as his purple haired sister.

Zack is a bit underutilized though isn't really underrated per se. Anyone that has fought Zack knows how dangerous he is, especially in close. Hayate could use a little more repping in the Western scene, but the Japanese think he's top tier. And he gets used a shitton online lol. LeiFang is the devil, I actually want to discourage her use lol.
