A lot of these things seem very... arbitrary. And, way too suspect. Sony was trying to cash on a trend that Nintendo started with their own product. Then people actually have the nerve to buy them for some reason. Even I don't necessarily have a clue what for, other than "console loyalty". Or, something along those lines.

because they're being used in PSVR. its part of the reason Sony was able to make it as cheap as they did they're using pre-made hardware.
