But even after all this shit, she is still a grade A bitch and barely sulks (pre DOAD revisionisms), because she is, after all, a ninja, and should not be swayed by her emotions. Which brings us to a point where Ayane is either a killer with no remorse who only cares about Hayate (she is his shadow) and mocks Ryu in NG, or a teenager who is easily moved by her hatred towards Kas (Cont).

This is what makes her weirdly endearing. She has no issues killing and treats others coldly because she does not care and doesn't have to(not because she is tsundere due to DOAD revisionisms), but Kas turns her into a bundle of hatred and jealousy. She is a character you find cool as a cold ninja, but you feel pity when she reverts to being a teenager.(Cont)

Her dramatic life and bad luck mixed with her attitude made me like her. It's hard to find female characters who are ruthless and cold, yet turn emotional, who don't revert into ~*pure sobbing girls*~ or drama queens.
Anyway, here is what I dislike:

THE DOAD REVISIONISMS. After Itagaki left, TN made her much more similar to a by-the-book tsundere. It made her stand out less. And when she wants to kill herself because Hayate slapped her? Silly as fuck.
Then, I dislike her DOA5 lose pose, it's lewd and humiliating. And I dislike her tacked-on relationship with Elliot, because it's obvious they want to cover something controversial.

The end, I guess. Don't think DOA is deep people, I'm just a loon.

Also I shall wair for when DB asks us about Eliot, but looking girly does not mean you are less of a man. He is a typical coming of age chaarcter and his ending in DOA4 is very manly and cool!

The point is, you gotta give Ayane's backstory a little more credit than a shoujo manga. Bones get broken and stuff...

NAh, i honestly believe that incest was never in itagaki's vision. Actually, any kind of consistency can't be expected from Itagaki, the guy retconned Muramasa twice in a spam of what? 4 years? But the way she treats hayate in previous games is basically the same respect that she shows towards ryu in ninja gaiden games.

Her ending song is too romantic to be coincidential, imo.

Song choices for DOA are always odd. Dream on for the dead or alive 2 ultimate intro, for example. Itagaki is a westaboo, and his english is probably not that great still, so that really doesn't mean anything.

I mean, song choices for their lyrics and in-game meaning. Not good soundtrack in general.

His english is good enough. Anyway it's all moot now and I think she would've grown of it.
